When we study the subject in depth we find there is no denominational church, that is a denomination with doctrines separating it from others, to which we couldpossibly put our Savior in. There are some very serious issues with WBC. Their website is godhatesfags.com and they have numerous hate messages which they are sending out as found on their web site:
"WBC engages in daily peaceful sidewalk demonstrations opposing the homosexual lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. We display large, colorful signs containing Bible words and sentiments, including: GOD HATES FAGS, FAGS HATE GOD, AIDS CURES FAGS, THANK GOD FOR AIDS, FAGS BURN IN HELL, GOD IS NOT MOCKED, FAGS ARE NATURE FREAKS, GOD GAVE FAGS UP, NO SPECIAL LAWS FOR FAGS, FAGS DOOM NATIONS, THANK GOD FOR DEAD SOLDIERS, FAG TROOPS, GOD BLEW UP THE TROOPS, GOD HATES AMERICA, AMERICA IS DOOMED, THE WORLD IS DOOMED, etc."

My wife and I were driving past a group of people from Westboro Baptist Church who were picketing outside the Kauffman Center in Kansas City MO last summer and my wife rolled down the window said to the people who were picketing that you reach people for the Lord through love and not hate. Immediately they became belligerent and just wanted to fight and argue with her.

These are all excellent points.
WBC use an approach that people don't tend to buy into.
But there is the opposite point which is that rarely do people like being told that what they're doing is fundamentally wrong.
So if they used a soft approach it might not make much difference.
My question is a somewhat direct question in that regardless of the manner in which they convey their message, are they right in what they say?

Tough Love, or one might even call it "SHOCK GOSPEL" can come across as being quite repulsive, and cold to the "Y'all come to Jesus...PLEASE?" "Beggers for Jesus!" That "Churchianity" has "de-evolved" into!
Their "method, and tactics", it seems, stems from, "God doesn't NEED YOU!" "YOU, NEED God!" To the "demographic" "type of ground", in the different types of ground parable, that Jesus taught! Where the "thorns and weeds" have intertwined a person to such a degree, that the person, or persons, are not even visible! At which point? They no longer have "the ability" TO hear, let alone "respond!" And, are deemed, rightfully so? An ADVERSARY!

are the WBC really Christians?
if i hated Christians and had a lot of money, i would find a group just like WBC and give them all the funding they wanted, watch them grow, gain a following and then watch all the damage they did to the Christian faith by making Christians look like a bunch of imbeciles.
they do more damage than good and someones going to tell me they dont know that, not a chance.
