I don't believe in microchipping animals. How do I find a pet that doesn't have a microchip, like a cat and a ferret? And know for sure it doesn't have one?

Take your pet to a veterinarian who can then scan the back (shoulder area) of the pet. If there is no response to the scan, then the pet has no microchip. :)

But you have to buy the pet first before a vet would scan. Everywhere I go they chip the animals.

A vet. will scan most all pets though some vets. may charge a small fee. Most charity organizations like the Humane society will not charge. We microchip all of our pets because we love them. With microchips, there is less chance that they will be lost. :)
