It is, I try to keep a similar schedule though so it won't be as hard on the body. I do want to go back to days soon. One day at a time :) God is our Jehovah Jireh.

When I work during the week it usually is, weekends not so much. Like you, we are 24/7 support and the workload can be unpredictable. I will admit almost falling asleep on the wheel a couple times... it's very scary!

My shifts are almost always busy. Our NICU is a 22 bed unit and we stay pretty full. It has its sad moments. I try to detach from work when I leave for home but its not always easy. I get attached. Still, its so rewarding. Its joyful when they thrive and get discharged home. Makes it all worth it. Staffing is our biggest issue. Nursing shortage.

Ahh shortage.... same with us. Changes always happening. Good to keep a positive attitude and God definitely helps with that! I detach when I leave work as well. It's important so we can unwind and recharge until we go back in again! I can see why people can get attached working in your environment. All we can do is try our best and give the rest to God. :)

Snoopy bandaids! That is the best perk! I was a big Snoopy fan growing up and use to go to Snoopy ice arena in Santa Rosa, CA to learn how to skate. Charles Schultz would sit down and watch us for hours.

I understand...it is hard letting go of something or someone that gave you so much to remember... our efforts and strength won't be enough...we ask God and let God handle it... :)

Don't be sorry :) we all have things to do outside the internet and it is busier there 😄

That's so cool ! I'm a Snoopy fan as well. Charlie Brown rocks. Did you ever get to meet or talk with him ? I don't think I've ever met anyone quite so infamous. By the way I hope your work shift sails smoothly :-)
