Really......Well...I am not so narrow minded to think that people who believe that salvation can be lost, are indeed lost.:)

My view......one who believes salvation can be lost also believes something has to be done to maintain it....that is not faith and or trust into the finished work of Christ......the correct message of salvation is either believed or it is not.....the dividing line is clear.......IMV

Hi safswan, the "dual nature of the justification process" ?, when the gavel falls you are pronounce either innocent or guilty, and you title your post, "Justification"

The only thing that is obvious is your misunderstanding of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is an alarming thing to trifle with the bible and red flags should be seen by everyone.

There is no dual action of justification....that is one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard....One is either declared righteous or NOT......justification is a legal term.....one who has been justified BY FAITH has been declared LEGALLY INNOCENT because the RIGHTEOUSNESS of CHRIST has been IMPUTED to their account by faith.............the things people come up with..........!!!

Yes exactly, they are being dishonest when they say this is not what they believe, they are definitely adding in stipulations and they conflate ideas......very frustrating!!!

I so, so agree....that is the very essence of the Gospel, a clear line!!!

Amen....this knowledge is what spurs us to serve, freely in Love, otherwise we only serve out of obligation and fear, God does not want that!!!!

Oy vey! How can I find those posts? I would be interested if someone actually said that.

I hope not!

I you can remember EXACTLY what they said, and who said it, you can find it. Up on the menu bar you see Search forums, click on that, then on the Keywords: type the exact expression, fewer words works the best; then on the Posted by: type the EXACT name of the member that uses. Then click Search at the bottom. If it doesn't come up, something is misspelled, even if he/she misspelled something, you have to be EXACT.

Um, could you expand on the bolded?

John 7:
38 Jesus said; He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified)

Lk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
(NOTE: Wait in Jerusalem until ""I"" send the promise of my Father. Read Acts 2:33 below)

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for ""the promise"" of the Father
(NOTE: Jesus tells them to wait in Jerusalem for ""the promise/Holy Spirit"" the Father will give to Christ to send them)

Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear
(NOTE: It isn't until after Christ's has been glorified/resurrected & cleansed the Heavenly Sanctuary. He receives the Father's PROMISE = Holy Spirit. Control to indwell all that truly believe. Only God/Christ knows the true heart of a person. And only Christ can baptize/seal/indwell with the Holy Spirit.)

Short answer Jn 7:39 the Holy Spirit can't be sent until Christ is glorified. Lk 24:49 & Act 1:4 Christ tells his disciples to Go wait in Jerusalem until ""HE"" sends the Promise/Holt Spirit made to Him By The Father. This happens at Pentecost Acts 2:4 & Acts 2:33 gives the whole overview.

You've been reading along.
You seem to skip over what you don't like to read.
And, you ask new posters the same silly questions.
Still waiting for an answer you like?
You won't get it because they're very smart and know your methods.
Bye bye Fran

I take it you can't then?

Please show us the scripture that teaches us to believe in the finished work of Christ.

Or the scripture that has “the finished work of Christ” in it.

I think they are...Excellent, okay Hevosmies bring it on. :)

I stand by my words when properly understood.
When properly understood?

You should say what you mean
and mean what you say.

Don't words mean anything to you?
Apparently not or you'd understand the bible better.

When speaking of matters that concern persons SOULS, you should be VERY CAREFUL what you say.

You said we do not have to OBEY GOD
You said we do not have to FOLLOW CHRIST

The two MAIN INGREDIENTS of being a Christian,
which you claim to be.
