Don't have an answer, huh?

Can't you have a serious discussion?
Don't know how to handle any question except for making a snide remark?

You said Jesus teaches you.
He teaches you to make snide remarks to other Christians?

I never heard Him say this.
Not snide , just the truth ...You are someone that I would not listen to...

Absolutely, we need to guard our hearts, been there, listened to the wrong people, it will play havoc with your spiritual walk!

Following lies will not play havoc with your spiritual walk?

2 Timothy 4:3-4
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Except for the self-seeking in no. 2
This is not true.
But,,,you cannot believe it if you so wish.

See. I consider all posts carefully.

Im afraid inside when i read @GodsGrace101 you say that you're trusting in Jesus...... AND your obedience to keep you saved.

Very much worried. I wouldn't bank on my obedience. Lord knows im a terrible mess. Maybe you are better off than me, but i can say here publicly that im FAR from being perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect!

Maybe you grew up Christian i dont know. [If you want to spare braincells stop reading here] Well I didnt. I've been through all kinds of things in my life and i should of been dead a long time ago, MULTIPLE TIMES, i dont know why the Lord spared me after all the wickedness and sin, but for some reason im still alive. I wouldn't bank on my obedience because im STILL in a bad place in my OWN OPINION, i dont believe I would make it in the judgment seat based on my track record of obedience to Jesus.

Maybe there is just something wrong with me and others are having an easy ride, but I feel my past life often haunts me, i hope someone who reads this takes heed and stays away from the mean-streets, remmeber ALL SIN leaves permanent negative consequences in your life. If not visible, mental and spiritual, its hard to clean up your mind.
Its also hard to not allow tempers to flare up after being a hothead all your life, its hard to be nice and friendly and polite when you just wanna punch a hole through a wall. How many times have I sinned on this forum alone by being condescending, proud or mean to someone?[You can start reading again, the babble is over]

Okay reading back what i've said im just rambling on about nothing lol, pardon me friends. But I guess my question is: HOW good must I be to make the cut @GodsGrace101

Yes, I think they are called false teachers in scripture, what do they do, they want to strip believers of the joy and peace we have in Jesus.
This is true UnderGrace, and a lack of Joy and Peace is exactly what false religions and cults have to offer, no peace and no joy.

Well, my friend
You're opinion doesn't count does it?
Only God's opinion counts.
And, as far as my tiny brain can see, YOU have nothing to worry about.

Stop worrying
About what God has forgotten.

Hi Hevosmies, the Christian life is not a sprint it's a marathon, it is God who gives you the will to keep going and nobody here is good enough to, "make the cut", nobody, but Jesus can and does make the cut.

What do you mean IT'S A MARATHON?????

I thought we got saved once and for all, no matter what, a past action that's ongoing (or something or other - which I never read in the bible BTW)

wow.
YOU are really encouraging!
Keep up the good work.

Those who follow their Master have peace and joy and security.

Yes of course, no dispute there .....why, do they have peace and security, because they think so highly of their ability to be good followers.

Those on the narrow path, however, know the truth of who they are and why they are not called to follow a model of good behaviour to earn salvation (like other world religions aspiring to be like their master) but those on the narrow path are in Jesus and Jesus is in them.

Read what you just wrote.

YOU are not called to follow a model of good behavior.
YOU are not like other world religions aspiring to follow their master.

And yet you say you are in Jesus and He is in you.

I'd like to understand that better.

1. You don't have to behave as Jesus stated in Mathew 5:3.........and many other places.

2. You do not aspire to follow your Master --Jesus.

And yet you feel safe and secure and you believe you are in Him and He in you.
What you post is rather horrifying.

John 3:36
36“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

That sounds like the wrath of God is abiding in those who do not obey...not eternal life.
