In the context of this thread, you're constantly moving the goalposts and seem to be changing your position almost post by post.

On just the last page you seemed to concede that Christians are no longer under the law.
Then you said that not keeping the law is a bad thing, despite the fact that it has been demonstrated to you that the law was (and is) a curse.

Nothing personal or anything, but you're either a raging schizophrenic or simply genuinely the most inconsistent person I have ever come across on any internet forum.
Maybe my positions will make more sense if you understand more about what the law is and what sin is. My posts aren't really that inconsistent.

Sin is failing to do what is right.
The Law commands us to do right things and to avoid wrong things. This is why breaking the law is sin.
Each of the 613 laws describes different sins. Each law describes a sin with a unique severity. For example, murdering is worse than eating pork.

When Christ fulfilled the law, he didn't mean that we could lie, fornicate, and murder. He just meant to unshackle us from all of these ordinances so that we could just focus on doing good things and avoid doing bad things. This is what living according to the Spirit is (in my view).

so now its man and not the Most High who determines what is sin and what is not?
No, don't get me wrong. Any Law-breaking is sin. It's just that breaking different laws entails different degrees of sin. Also, the Law does not and could not possibly cover all cases of good and evil (as in the bribing situation I discussed for example).

I may have quoted the wrong person when I wrote the above post.

The twisted scripture and constantly going round in circles is taking its toll.

Eh, we could say that Jesus did away with the 10 Commandments, but it's still wrong to murder, cheat, lie, fornicate, etc. Therefore it's still sin.

You are still doing right if you obey the Law.

You should never disregard your conscience and only look to the Law, though. That would limit the freedom that Jesus gave us.

Jesus teaches otherwise. Learn from Him.

Why study the word? So we know the truth....
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Justification is Jesus giving us His righteousness in place of our curse of death. (As if we have not sinned. Made perfect. Instantly given.)
Sanctification is the work of Jesus in us to made us like Him in CHARACTER. Transformation of our hearts and minds.

Don't ignore the Sanctification part.
Joh_8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Study the word to be free from sin. By Jesus transforming us we can be free from sin.
Know the truth (like what it sin and what isn't) which means we need to know the laws that God gives to outline sin.

The only curse of the law is death, and death was death was destroyed by our Lord on the Cross.
Even Paul writes to the Romans, faith establishes the law.
He also tells us the law is good.

Bear in mind he speaks of the law after having been enlightened by Jesus Christ and te Holly Spirit.

Do not ever say th laws composing love, those remaining to be fulfilled and are being fulfilled are not to be obeyed.

If you have the truth written on your hearts, you will not offend Jesus by teaching against bollowing those He has not already completed…………..not destroyed, and those continuially being fulfilled by His Body members.

the law is a curse, did Jesus get cursed for obeying it?
U must understand what is the flesh, something that is in all of Adam's descendants. The law stirs flesh into sin, this is true before and after you are a Christian.

Jesus was born of a virgin, from God himself, he did not have the flesh. Thus he is the only one that can keep the entire law.

It's a curse but only because we are evil by nature and sin. Sin = death. So the law is not the bad thing it is us. We are cursed to death as a result of our own choice. By faith we are saved. Praise God for Jesus. He freed us from the curse (death) of the law. We are still going to suffer from the consequences of selfishness.

So Jesus was not tempted like you and me, He had a huge advantage and if this is true i have no respect for Jesus as my brother.

I believe Jesus was born like you and me, but did not ever choose to sin. A nature like me and you but overcame in every way so He was without fault.
