our spirits are never 'made-perfect' in an instant, it is a life-long journey that we must continually strive/work/race
to over-come in order to run and complete and reach the Spiritual goal that God has placed before us...
our 'over-coming manifests itself from grace to grace...

I'm one of those that believe a person that has been saved won't walk away but will seek to purify themselves even as they are pure and the Spirit was made pure AND sealed.

I believe this forum is where the majority of posters come to dissect scripture, this is where the meat of the Bible is being discussed. And I believed a problem like the thread Op's would get more serious people praying, since they are feasting on scripture by dissecting it here in this forum. And to suggest taking it elsewhere is taking it where the serious discussions are not being discussed (to a degree of seriousness that is).

But, I am not opposed that I could be mistaken by 7's post. Like I mentioned before, we already crossed paths and have clearly misunderstood one another's intentions. And I am not opposed to believing I misunderstood her in this scenario.

I just see this forum as being more serious, and a problem would get serious prayer. That is the basis of why I opposed her post it should be elsewhere. That, and I viewed her post as being whiny, because we always have that in everything. Which is why I mentioned Judas, because he whined and opposed everything Jesus did. And each instance I have had with 7 was her whining, so I saw her as whining again.
I've noticed that if one simply does not act like a jerk in the first place, then one doesn't have to come back and write a short essay trying to explain their rude behavior....

Just sayin.....

I don't believe I was wrong to begin with. I chose to explain because it gave me a chance to be more specific on what I was originally stating. And the person who created this thread seemed to be sincere and needed our help. The last thing they needed after reaching out to like believers, is someone telling them wrong forum. They might as well have just said, we don't care about your problem. I did extend some regret. But, I am not going to apologize to someone for being pretentious and whiny. Even if it rocks the boat!!

I think you are making provision for the flesh but you are not aware that you are doing this.
How do you worship GOD with your flesh, although you WILL seek to purify your mind AFTER salvation to match your spirit that was made perfect?
Not sure I fully understand the question. Could you rephrase it thanks.

I meant to say your spirit Is the REAL you and not your flesh, GOD makes your spirit new and perfect and after you are saved,Paul wrote that you should present your body to GOD and renew your mind which also Is a part of your body to the new creation that you have become.

So then when I say how do you worship GOD with your flesh I was talking about the flesh as the part of you that houses the real you and a person can't worship GOD with their body they can only give an outward appearance of an Inward emotion and the world sees that but GOD sees the real you.

If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
(John 8:31-32)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth [puts his trust into the hands and power of] sin is the servant of sin.
(John 8:34)

If the Son therefore shall make you free[free from trusting sin], ye shall be free indeed.
(John 8:38)

Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks..

This is from the "Husband would rather masterbate than have sex with me" thread, but I think it is true for your son's situation.

A brother that was on this site several yrs ago told me about this guy and his book "Eyes of Honor". Not sure about his other Biblical beliefs, but I think he is spot on with this issue. Here is a short video that I highly recommend to those struggling with lust:
The irony that his name is Willie.

Just out of curiosity what would you answer,If a person has an unrighteous thought after salvation but they are In the process of renewing their mind, would this scripture be talking about the flesh because after salvation the spirit Is saved and sealed and perfect?

Okay well first of all, the body is not the same as the flesh. The body consists of the actions which Paul says are to be brought into conformation with the will of God. Flesh is what is supposed to be crucified with Christ and is dead and to be kept dead in the living. It is everything that is against the will of God, even human instincts if they are not conformed.

The mind is renewed when the spirit and soul are divided when a man is truly saved (not just a man who knows the trth - the devil does that)

"Heb 4:12, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

It is the man who has had his spirit and soul separated so that his spirit can join with the Spirit - hence being united with Christ. Watchman Nee explains this very well.

From what little I've read of Watchman Nee, I would not ascribe to any of his "spiritual theories".....

I just realized that this discussion Is becoming way out there and would require biblical understanding, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little and It would need to be slowly taught so that we could bring all Into unity and scripture would need to be used.

:)If there were going to be a further discussion on subject It should be discussed In the conspiracy forum.

This is for a real Christian that fights against porn addiction, and/or who has and won.

Even thou some Christians will be disrespectful and get on here and tell me how porn is ok, not sin... you can do a you like, but you are worthless Christians (in my opinion) any way just to let you know.... and what you have to say will be worthless.....

My son is fighting porn addiction. He gives me all electronics at night so he can not get on line. His tablet, smart tv remote and phone. But the memories, the imagines… he keeps getting plagued with in his head. I pray over him and I hear him at night begging G-d to deliver him.

What did you do to be free of porn.... and the memories of it playing in your head?

Please help me help my son.... there has to be some Christians free from this sin!?!
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

The answer you seek, is found in the Cross. Jesus Christ is the solution for mankind - there is no other! It takes the Power of God to set the captive free. Many bypass the Cross for their solutions and Grace is cancelled. These problems we face are too severe to be talked out of anybody. Bondage (taskmasters are demon spirits that come to afflict - Exodus 1:11) can be broken only by the Power of God. This is why Jesus had to come from Heaven and die on the Cross in order that the power of sin may be broken. Sin has a power behind it and his name is Satan.

If a Christian will and their efforts to live for God is in anything except Christ and the Cross, i.e., Finished Work, The Blood of Jesus (Romans 8:2), Satan can override your will and force you to do things you don't want to do and trying not to do (Ephesians 6:12). Our willpower is routed in flesh. This is why Jesus said deny yourself and pick up your cross and follow me (Luke 9:23). In other words, receive my benefits daily I have provided for you.

The Christian is doomed to failure if he thinks he can face the sin business and simply say yes or no. That's not the way it works. Those who try that (and almost all have) will conclude by failing every time. You may win for awhile, but after awhile, you're going to fail.

Now, stop and think about this for a moment: If it were possible for us to defeat sin and the attacks of Satan by willpower, then Jesus would not have had to come down here and die on a Cross. He could have merely taught us how to function within our willpower, and that would have solved the problem.

However, He didn't do that, did He? The truth is, the problem of sin is so deadly that it took the Cross to defeat this monster, and even then, we have to have the help of the Holy Spirit to get this thing done. That's why Paul said, "But if the Spirit (Holy Spirit) of Him (God the Father) who raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He who raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit who dwells in you" (Rom. 8:11).

This tells us that sin is so powerful that it takes the same power to overcome this thing as it did to raise Jesus from the dead, which, of course, is the power of the Holy Spirit. Understanding that, we should come to the conclusion that our personal willpower is totally inadequate.

However, most Christians little understand the victory of the Cross and try to do this thing on their own, which always results in failure.

The majority of Christians know nothing about the Cross of Christ for sanctification. Justification delivers us from the penalty of sin, while sanctification delivers us from the power of sin. The Cross of Christ is as necessary for sanctification as it is for salvation (1 Cor. 1:18).

Because we are in this body of flesh, as Paul said, "We have not been perfected yet (Philippians 3:12-13)," and because we have a enemy within and a enemy without (the world, the flesh, and the Devil), you can still get tired of trusting. This is why the scripture says:

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

Did the OP come back or respond.
How is your son doing?

Did you pray binding and loosing prayers?
How old is your son. Are there any sisters living in the same household and how old are they. The reason I ask is that young minds are still developing, and they cant 'unsee' what they've seen on their own. The blood of Jesus wipes away sin, covers all sin. He is our covering.

Then someone, ideally you, needs to teach your son the appropriate way to relate to others of the opposite sex. Otherwise you get a situation where your son will go after whores or he will be thinking its ok to be grabbing women and forcing them. He wont have any boundaries.

Your son know its wrong and the good thing God can forgive and lead him out of temptation. This is why deliverance is important. And God may be using your hands and encouraging words to help effect this deliverance.

JSM
Example:

And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. Exodus 17:11

Amalek was to dwell in the land, but not to reign in it. Romans 6:12 says, "Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies." The command would be unmeaning if the sin nature were not existing in the Christian. The sin nature dwells in a Believer, but dwells and reigns in an unbeliever.

The hands "upheld" signified total dependence on the Lord. When the Believer is totally depending on the Lord, and what He did for us at the Cross, the victory of Christ belongs to us; otherwise, it doesn't!

Exodus 17:12 says, "But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun."

(The "Stone," as well, is symbolic of Christ. Moses exhaustion portrays the fact that our own efforts soon result in spiritual burn-out. But once we are in God's glorious way [sitting on the Stone], the victory is ours. "Aaron" was a Type of Christ as our Great High Priest, and "Hur," whose name means "light," speaks to us of the Holy Spirit. This is the help afforded the Child of God. But unfortunately, most Christians are trying to hold up their hands [trusting in God] by their own personal strength, which is doomed to failure.)

The Holy Spirit doesn't require much of us, but He does require one thing, and without reservation. Our Faith must be exclusively be in Christ and the Cross, understanding that this is God's Prescribed Order of Victory. When we stay "victory" we are speaking Victory in every capacity, be it spiritual, financial, domestically, physical, etc. God's Prescribed Order of Victory is "the Cross of Christ."

The Way Of The Spirit
Focus: The Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6)
Object Of Faith: The Cross of Christ (Romans 6:1-14)
Power Source: The Holy Spirit (Romans 8:1-2, 11)
Results: Victory (Romans 6:14)

Man's Way
Focus: Works.
Object Of Faith: Performance.
Power Source: Self.
Results: Defeat!

The only way to God is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6)...the only way to Jesus Christ is by the Means of the Cross (Luke 14:27). The only way to the Cross is a denial of self (Luke 9:23). If any person tries to come any other way, Jesus says, "they are a thief and a robber" (John 10:1).

Exodus 17:13 says, "And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword." (The "sword" here is a Type of the Word of God [Eph. 6:17]. The Word of God holds the answer to every single problem which pertains to "Life and Godliness" [2 Peter 1:3-4].)

When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, But he who restrains his lips is wise.

You really are weak. The majority of believers participate in this forum specifically. This would be the best place for prayer, advice, and be accompanied by brothers and sisters in Christ. I never read in the Bible where Jesus said, let's walk over here away from everyone so we can discuss this matter. Nope, I see where Jesus OPENLY discussed all issues as a teaching point. I have read enough of your posts here to make me sick!! Your forum name should have been Judas. Judas was always telling Jesus and the other Disciples we should not do this, we should not give money to that, we should be proper and etiquette. Look where Judas is today!! Known as a traitor, thief, liar, backstabber, enemy of God, betrayer, and for all assumptions included..has a guaranteed spot in the Lake of Fire!!
you will either find your true place in this forum or you will loose the place you seem to think you hav

at the rate you are going, you have gained the disrespect of a good many members here

whatever spirit is whispering in your eager ears, it isn't the Holy one
