Ephesians 4 is where Paul lays out what a believer should strive to "do". In the beginning he says we all should walk worthy of the Lord. The whole chapter describes ones walk but he also says that grace is given in proportion to us by Jesus. Not all of us will have the same giftings but we all can gather as one in Him and be in peace.
No where does he speak of a law for his teaching is based on the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Eternal life. Being placed in the body and our goal is to be brought to being One with the Godhead.

Works will separate. Works are based on laws. But grace is of Holy Spirit.

We are to pursue sanctification. Good.
Without this pursuit, no one will see the Lord. Good.
Without J there is no S. Good
Even if we don't reach entire sanctification (which we won't) we are still justified in Christ. Good.
BUT
Our ongoing S has no bearing on our J ???
Reason this out....
Without J there is no S.
and,,,without S there is no J !
If we don't continue on the road toward S, HOW could we possibly remain J ??
All Paul did was to exhort us to behave and be nice and do certain things and not do certain things.
Surely, if it were not so important, he wouldn't have spent so much time trying to teach us.
IF we stop believing in the gospel and stop pursuing our S,,,we also lose our J.

Jesus came to change us from the inside out.
The Pharisees, for example, were all show. But their inside was rotten.
Jesus wanted us to be whole on the inside and then it would also show on the outside but it would be honest.
About the Law,,,yes, It's not God's desire that we follow the law and be "unborn" on the inside.
However, Jesus did say that He came not to abolish the Law.
Maybe we need both?
Maybe the law is easy to follow because of our love for Jesus?
Maybe this is the difference between the Mosaic Covenant and the New Covenant?
Yup. Its like I jokingly said in one thread about "how can i lose my salvatioN" i said: "I think I lost my salvation at the store, has anyone seen it?"
Its just so ridicilous to think that an ALPOWERFUL and ALMIGHTY God moves in to your life, yet you just forget that He exists one fateful morning.
I see the opposite happen, USUALLY people who encounter God get BETTER AND BETTER and more and MORE into Godly activities and sanctification.

every branch He abides in who abides in Him brings forth much fruit by His power

or confused as to wether or not we are His
....the fruit in itself does not save or keep us saved... it is not a requirement.... it is a wonderful result of such a mighty and righteous God dwelling in us

Sanctification is to be pronounced clean. All done by the Father, His will, the Son, His sacrifice, and Holy Spirit, His power.

Faith without works is dead, he never said they ever had faith, so your defenitions do not fit. His question was concerning people when CLAIMED to have faith, butnever had works
Just like the word faith, i think you need to study what the word dead means.
James is not saying if we do not work we can los salvation, he is saying a f we say we have faith, but have never worked we are decieved
You continueing to use this to attempt to prove you can lose salvation just proves youbelieve in faith plus works.
Does not the scripture say that the law is written upon our heart when born from above? The law is just rules that are to be followed. It doesn't require a change of heart. Grace however is not just unmerited favor but the power of Holy Spirit within one, with our human spirit...that has been justified and sanctified by faith in the blood of Jesus. The Word....Jesus....dwells in us. We aren't separate from Him.....united now with Him. Not by works....faith.
Faith is power in the spiritual realm. Our heart is a new heart given. New nature. Created in Christ Jesus.
I think it corresponds to 1 Corinthians 3:15: "If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire."

I think that is a body of works.
A new creation which does no work unless they die right after they were saved, i would question the validity of their faith.
I should of separated the first sentence from the second in my last post. Two separate thoughts.
Well, many of the Christians at Corinth had no good works to show - in fact, they were pretty carnal. Some had even died, yet Paul called them believers.
Not only that when they doubt, struggle they keep calling out to him.
"God help me in my unbelief"
"God help me in my struggles"
That's my life experiences.
