The point of the parable is that the master returned at a time when he was not expected.
The wicked servant was definitely not saved.
He will be put in a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.
AMEN.

...“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Here we go....
I sure hope @BillG sees this post.

All silly comments with no firm conversation.
Like in kindergarten.
you think im joking?

im not trying to be silly

looking over the last few pages

i see false accusations, false doctrine.... manipulation to build a false picture

it breaks my heart

and it is an absolute shame someone can spend so much time in Gods word

only to come out acting as you act and pushing the gospel you push

then playing little miss victim the moment someone shows they dont like your behavior or lies

Am catching up so I just saw that you Godsgrace101, was referring to the previous scripture in John 6. Verse 39. To know what it is, you look at the verse previous to it. Verse 38. Jesus says He came to do the Fathers will. The it then IMO, is all of creation. It will be raised to life too at the last day. A new world. Possibly referring to Gentiles too.

Joh 6:38 I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of the one who sent me.

Joh 6:39 And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything that he has given me, but should raise it to life on the last day.

So what...the above = zero proof that you know and or teach truth so you can forget that as a valid argument.....

On top of that we have numerous times proven what belief, believe and faith actually are and you refuse to accept the truth because of the PRIDE that reeks in this post you directed at me.

Lastly......any gospel that inserts SELF HELP DOGMA to keep one saved or that peddles a salvation that can be lost or forfeit by us is straight from the pit with no power to save.

Humble yourself pharisee and receive with MEEKNESS the engrafted word thay can save your soul FRAN!
So you know my soul isn't saved?
Worry about YOUR soul Dcon.
And the soul of those you confuse with sweet words.
And don't be so sure YOU have the truth.

Here's the truth --- straight from the bible you claim to know:

Colossians 1:21-23

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled you 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

-They were to be presented holy, blameless and above reproach (no scope for unrepentant sin in a believers life)
-this is possible (IF THEY CONTINUED IN THE FAITH) - grounded, steadfast, not moved.

Luke 22:31-32

31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

If it were not possible for faith to fail, as the strong delusionalists claim, then it would not be necessary for Jesus to have had to pray to the Father for his faith not to fail.

1 Timothy 2:18-20

18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Faith CAN be shipwrecked by incorrect doctrine.

2 Timothy 2:16-19

16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

-its possible to stray concerning the truth
-its possible to once have known the truth but to have strayed
-faith can be overthrown.
-these people are no longer saved.
-sin is still a factor " Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity". Contrary to what the strong delusionists say.

Jude

3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

-contending for the faith - It is to be protected, defended, fought for.
-by not contending for this, it can be lost.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

-Paul, writer of most of the New Testament, fought the good fight. Finished the course. And KEPT the faith.
-why would it be necessary for him to write about "keping the faith" if it were not possible to LOSE faith?

Revelation 2:10b
10 Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

-Faith is not a once off, momentary decision, applicable for all time. We must be faithful until death.
-Faith, once received, once believed, is to be maintained.
-if you are NOT faithful until death, or lose your faith, you shall not receive the crown of life.

Again, I hope @BillG sees this AND your answer.
He feels I don't post enough scripture and/or do not answer to scripture.

It's embarrassing but those kind of mistakes are happening more often now. It could be because of the strokes, or old age, but I do not like it. Sorry.
No need to apologize and I knew that you were aware of the fact that I do not believe that or espouse that.

Fran, your dogma does not match up with the bible...there is one correct message of salvation and what you peddle does not jive.....

faith plus works/obedience to gain, maintain, or keep a salvation that can be lost is not the correct message, nor does it produce salvation in any that believe it...

Double cursed, false, different kind, no power anf only fools that are bewitched buy into it....See Galatians!!!

BINGO!!

Thanks for looking into this.

I can add that WE are also raised as is said many times in scripture...
If we have faith in the end.
Faith is what saves.

If we continue in our faith, we are saved eternally.
If our faith comes to an end, then so does our salvation since it is IN CHRIST that we have the life.
No Jesus....No life.

John 11:25-26
25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
26and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Notice that Jesus always speaks in the present tense.
He who believes (right now) in Him is saved.
Not someone that believed in Him but now no longer does.

Afternoon all...
John 10:9 I am the gate , whoever enters through Me WILL be SAVED. He will come in and out and find pasture.
I was just reading this through John , if you have entered through the gate ( Jesus ) you are saved :)...

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice , I know them , and they follow Me. 28 I give them ETERNAL LIFE , and they shall NEVER perish , no one can SNATCH them out of my hand.no one . 29 My Father , who has GIVEN them to me , is greater than all , NO ONE can snatch them out of my Father's hand , I and the Father are one.

Praise God and thank You Jesus \:)/...xox...
Amen Rose....keep swinging sister.....good to see one that understands the simplicity found in Christ.....

I do not believe the great commission has happened....not until the rapture of the church. The kingdom gospel was not for you or I, it was for the lost sheep of Israel.....Paul was our appostle, through Jesus, as he revealed the mystery (Peter knew of the grafting in) but Peter was not sent to the gentiles, to reveal the mystery...Paul was, Paul preached grace
I thought that the gospel of the kingdom is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Doesn't scripture say that the kingdom of God is within us?

What a deceiver you are....My Jesus starts, finishes and completes the work of faith in me....You on the other hand must help your jesus (not found in the bible I might add) do his job and finish for him....he must be too inept to do what he says he will DO-->FINISH AND COMPLETE the work of FAITH HE BEGAN!!

Yada yada yada.
How about answering to all that scripture I posted?
One by one like I do.

How about it?
Making comments that amount to nothing is easy.

Jesus said the Kingdom is at hand...
Mathew 4:17
What must we do to be a part of the Kingdom?
Please post where Jesus said what you are going to answer.

Jesus said He came not to abolish the law.
Mathew 5:17
So why do you teach that the law does not have to be obeyed?

Wow.
You need to study up on the history of the Christian church!!
What religion are you anyway?
You think Jesus gave the Apostles a command and they didn't follow it through?

No wonder you think works are not necessary to maintain your salvation.
If the Apostles didn't listen to Jesus --- why should you!
Works are only necessary to maintain salvation if you are in a false religion....the bible does not teach that drivel!

How about answering my verses.
One by one, like I do.

There's only ONE Jesus Dcon.
And He's not the one YOU understand.

Post me a couple of verses where JESUS says all we have to do is believe in Him and DO NOTHING because works are NOT necessary and we will STILL be saved....

Thanks.

Read Mathew 25.
Right now.
Come back and tell me what it says.
Jesus also tells us there who is going to heaven and who will be lost.
WHO is going to heaven?
Give us the chapter and verse.
WHO is going to hell?
Give us the chapter and verse.

I've done this...
