Please pray for healthy kittens. They are at risk for Neonatal Isoerytholosis, which is a fatal blood type mis-match. Shelly will have to type each kitten as they are born. Any mismatches will be taken away and bottle-fed for a day, then returned to Lorelai for nursing.

Here comes the 1st kitten!! It is a.. a black panther boy..



And #2 is here.. it is a gray tabby girl. She's blood type B, so she is safe to nurse. (y)

Lorelai is having trouble pushing out the placentas so Shelly can type the kittens' blood. :(



Kitten #3 is another gray tabby.

Whew.. all 3 placentas are out, and kittens tested.

All 3 kittens are blood type B. They are safe to nurse..

At least 2 more kittens are being anxiously awaited upon.

Here comes kitten #4.. It is another panther, a female this time.
 
Gracie, when new kittens are born and at possible risk of dying from a fatal blood disease, it is NOT boring.. Kindly remove that reaction, please. :)
 
These kittens would have been sold to breeders, if Shelly hadn't rescued Lorelai and Rory from the hoarder who had them. The hoarder was in-breeding them, which leads to fatal congenital defects. ALL these cats that Shelly takes in are VERY lucky..
