What are you trying to imply? that Jesus and the Apsotles taught that someone must obey the the law in order to saved? That will be hype sir... I maintain as dispensinalist that in even Abraham and in every age salvation is by grace through faith...
Uh oh wait....how can you say that? The mystery was not preached until Paul, to the gentiles, at that point there was neither Jew nor gentile....before that, “works” was part of justification, as the Law was administered through Moses

A doctrine often overlooked is the doctrine of the faith of Jesus Christ. The faith of Christ that justifies the believer was not available until after the resurrection. Before the resurrection man was justified by his own individual faith which required obedience, faith requires evidence. Even then, man's justification could only lead to self righteousness under the law which could never take away sin, but could keep the faithful servant from condemnation in Abraham's bosom upon death.

The faith of Jesus Christ is God's righteousness without the law available to those who trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Abraham is a type of believer in the OT but is not identical to the NT believer. Paul uses him in type to explain what we have available now. Abraham did not have God's righteousness through the faith of Christ.

Perhaps when you quote my posts correctly without combining what I have said with what you are saying, I'll be able to answer.
Pardon my ignorance sir, how should I reply to you properly, beyond pushing reply button?

After you hit reply to a post make sure that what you write is outside of the
box. It may be helpful also to skip a line after hitting the reply button to allow for more space between the quote and your own post in response.

Thank you for clarifying, I understand what you are saying and agree. Yes, as you can see, often overlooked and lost in translation.

Its important to remember that the mosaic covenant LARGELY dealt with EARTHLY blessings and cursings for obedience/disobedience.

We are talking lifespan, agricultural blessings, real-estate in the middle-east. etc.

Justification has never been by works. Or by the LAW. The law was a schoolmaster, which was to lead Isreal to know her messiah and to leed them to know they needed a savior to begin with.

Other than that I agree with what you said. Amen.

I do understand that now, but was it not doctrine then? For if they knew they were being lead by the law, to show them sin, would they have tried to abide? I will definitely study this more and thank you

Yes they did think this, Its why they crucified Christ, Because they thought the law made them clean (worthy)

And your welcome bro. We should always study and test each spirit. Never take anyones word as truth, always study.

Amen, and thanks again....I was apprehensive to get on a forum like this at first, but it has definitely brought me closer to Christ, and prompted me to study more than I ever have.

It can be a great place. I have learned many things since I have been here.

It can also test your patience. Just remember, Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are attacking you. But at the same time, When people try to bully you sometimes it is better to just ignore..
