One is a value and three is also a value different from one. There's possible way to explain how the value one can be seen as three.

OP i dont know what modalism is either, but dont think you need to worry about it.
Just read the Bible and receive Gods word for what it is...none of us ought to worry about 'isms' that philosphers who never come to the truth keep trying to squeeze christianity into a man-made philosophy.

I have heard people talk about water, ice and steam, but the Bible talks about spirit, water and blood. So am not sure where they getting that water, ice and steam from. Jesus Christ came in the flesh, (ie. blood) if anyone denies that they dont really know who they talking about.
You should try to understand Modalism due to your above post.

Not sure who you mean by the "philosophers" up above, whether it be; 1) Those who rejected and exposed the heresy or Modalism, or; 2) Those who brought the error into the Church.

If it's of the former to which you refer, it wouldn't be proper to say they are those "who never come to the truth." If it's the latter to which you refer, then we must note the error of their teaching.

Either way we should know why Modalism is incorrect and why, instead of brushing it under the rug in favor of "Just reading the Bible and receive God's word for what it is." After all, that is where all heresies begin and how many heresies are repeated when the person could have studied these things out in order to avoid them.

This is false and heretical.

If the Son was the Holy Spirit, He could not possibly say that He would send the Comforter from the Father after His ascension.

But when the Comforter [THE HOLY SPIRIT] is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me (John 15:26)

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (John 16:7)

As you can see it is TOTALLY ABSURD to say that the Son is the Holy Spirit. It is equally absurd to say that the Father is the Holy Spirit.

So the real question remains: why do people RESIST the truth of the Trinity and the Deity of Christ? And the only biblical answer is that Satan deceives people into all kinds false beliefs. This is a part of spiritual warfare.

I don't recall anyone denying the deity of Christ. You even pointed out in John 15:26 the Spirit comes from the Father. In John 16:7, Christ says He will send the Spirit only if He goes away. Therefore It comes from Christ and the Father both.

But you denied that Christ and God the Father are distinct from the Holy Spirit. And they are indeed.

that is a humanistic position God is Spirit he communicates with man, He has emotion Anger, Joy, peace, love which HE is able to show to man. That is the ability of one with personality Jesus is God Made fresh the very expression of God God Spirit Yet man cannot restrict HIM to only that because God is too man. God is .
I know it is a humanist position. I was explaining to someone about the Personhood of God as he called it. He did not like to be corrected and he gave me a red cross as did his pal. So now I am going to put the pair of them on ignore.

I just hope nobody else thinks that is my position. Cheers.

His comment to me was
Wow! Denying the Personhood of God.

You’ve put me on ignore and will not see this my friend, but others will, and this is for them. I do not mind being corrected when I am wrong. If that was true, I would still hold to free will and some sort of distorted view of view, somewhere between Arianism and Modalism.

People need to grow up when they get a HUGE RED X. I do not get into a tizzy when I get them.

Problem with free will is that salvation is something man decides. A man dead in trespasses and sins. I feel bad that I didnt give God enough (all) the glory

Have you heard of the Calvinist scoreboard in a football game? The end score is shown at the beginning of the game. :D

My position is that there is One God and because God is omnipresent he encompasses the whole universe, in heaven, on earth and in our hearts.

As someone said it is not about persons, it is about location and I agree.

Please do not say, "God cannot be with us." Because HE can be, he was, and still is.

Pretty sure everyone that belives in the trinity also says there is one God.
......and God is one.
Mutifaceted truth.

We can jerk it into one dimension or many, many things.
We humans do that. Some of it is ok I guess.

that is not true, You assume that God can't make "man" with free will and still know all. You limit God who made us with free will YET HE knows all. You approach the idea of free will from Human reasoning. You have to limit God because it does not make sense to you.
We have free will because God gave us the ability to choose HIM YEt HE called us. He called us and fully knew we would answer YET we have the free will to not accept. And God knew that too. You drive yourself crazy trying to make human carnal meaning to a spiritual word of God. You can't do it. Pride refuses to see, God called and we answered He knew and we choose. for you to be right

you have to remove these words from the Word of God :

chose this day who you will serve
call on the name of the Lord and you shall be saved
whoever confesses Jesus as Lord shall be saved He who believes in his heart

Seek The Lord
walk in His ways
Obey The word of the Lord.
All of these are the thing we must choose to do yet, God fully knew we would not or we would do it. See how foolish your position is? By limiting God to fit your human reasoning.

'The Father is greater than I ' .. from Jesus. This is some times used to say Jesus is lesser than the Father. That the Father is a superior being.. but..

When Jesus says this he is about to ascend to be in the same position of the Father.

Jesus is described in the same terms you give to the Father... e.g. alpha omega almighty...

So when Jesus says the Father is greater.. He is talking of position... but not as superiority.

I still deny the HS is distinct from the Father and Christ. The Holy Spirit is what makes them one (united).

That is correct. God is Spirit HE became flesh for our sakes.
