As God created the heavens and the earth, He created all living things from microbes to whales. He also told Adam and Eve to multiply and have rule over all living things. Some living things are harmful to man’s health. Others, like alligators and sharks, are a threat to man under certain circumstances. But these same things are vital to our ecosystems.

Perhaps God could have created a world without these things, but whatever He does, there’s a purpose behind it. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” We don’t know for sure what purposes He has in mind, but the Bible tells us to trust in Him and to not lean on our own understanding.

But the Bible also acts as a teacher, and to that end we can gleam what it is that God expects from us. He expects us to have rule over all living things, even those that could cause us harm. A clue as to why he would put on earth things that could harm us might be found in Exodus 20:2-5 in which He says, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am A JEALOUS GOD…”

In His jealousy He reminds us of what He did for us, and perhaps He created things that could harm us, such as disease, with the knowledge that those who love Him and know that He exists will turn to Him for help, as the Hebrews turned to Him when they were enslaved in Egypt. In this manner, He keeps us in line and he uses disease to test our faith in Him. James 1:2-3 - 2 says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”

And, perhaps, as we put our faith in Him, we carry out his command to have rule over all living things. Here is something you might think about. Certain God-fearing groups don’t believe in treating disease; they leave it up to God to cure them. But if God told us to have rule over all living things, wouldn’t it be acceptable to Him for us to find cures that put life-threatening organisms at bay, thereby ruling over them?

God made it clear that we should multiply, but He also made it clear we are to rule over all living things. The two are not related, they exist independently. But for those who seek Him and love Him, God is here to help us in both when we need Him.

Nobody wants to see loved ones die but if you really analyze the earth as a big closed system, the things that naturally determine our populations and strength of gene selection have been horribly reduced. We produce one child at a time because He didn’t want us overpopulating. We have no natural enenmies, aside from eachother. Disease selects the weak, genetically flawed and unadaptable. We sabotage our own health. Healthy people don’t get sick. I eat as intended by nature. I don’t get colds. My body functions as a twenty year old and I’m in my forties. I don’t need to go to the gym for hours as some to maintain muscle and definition. Minutes a day, that’s all. Understanding how the machines, God entrusted to us, is like understanding your car. If you put diesel fuel in a gasoline engine of course it’s not going to function. If you omit oil, park it for years, submerge it in water, etc, you get the idea. Disease cleans the populations. We prevent the cleanse, allowing it to overtake us.

Where in the Bible does it say that God doesn't want us to overpopulate?

BTW, it's been written that the world's entire population could fit in the state of Texas, with each person having 1,000 square feet.

Could you also fit all of the farms to feed them, sewage systems to maintain sanitation and place to move? I could fill an aquarium with a thousand fish, but to keep the tank balanced to sustain life, you are only supposed to have a few. The Bible doesn’t say not to overpopulate, but it does say don’t mix potions. That’s what medicine is. We produce one child at a time, not litters. If He really wanted to populate the earth fast, He could have made us different. Sickness is designed to kill the weak. We stopped that from happening.

The body isn’t designed to breakdown multiple type foods in one meal. Think animals in the wild. When there is lush greenery, berries, fruits and veggies, there is no need to hunt. When the plants disappear with the onset of winter, roots can be harvested. Then winter comes and those who are fast, strong and clever, eat other animals. They eat what is available at the time. The animals don’t kill something, then smush fruit into it and cook it in the sun. Our digestive systems do best when we eat one food type at a time. Fruit leaves the stomach in half an hour. Veggies longer, 1-2 hours and meat 3-5 hrs. Our gastric juices sense the food type and adjust the acidity. When there is potatoes with meat, the stomach acid is neutralized. The meat doesn’t successfully reduce to amino acids and become available to rebuild muscle tissue. Instead it causes digestive complications compromising digestive flora. Without properly balanced gut bacteria we fail to extract nutrients from the vegetables. Essentially our body rebuilds itself with whatever fake food we ingest. Enter disease. Obesity isn’t too much food, it’s not enough nutrients. Our body stores fat because it thinks we are in a famine. The best way to reduce unwanted weight is to eat highly nutritious foods from the produce isle. Blend them up so your gut bacteria has an easy time sorting the vitamins. To build muscle you need to push your body past what it can do. Every exercise to failure. This signals to release growth hormone to produce enough tissue to do the job. Them eat protein and get sleep so the body can repair. We are engineered to survive and adapt...or die quicker so we don’t use up resources.

This was spoken at creation. The Fall nullified this and brought a curse upon humanity and creation. So until Christ returns and sets up the Kingdom of God on earth, and until the New Heavens and the New Earth come into existence, this is not applicable.

No it’s a wrong interpretation about God cursing creation your making, it was not the whole of creation that is false.

the land of the garden of Eden was no longer under the protection of God, but the land would revert to its wild, unsubdued state like the rest of the land around the garden.

Evidently you are unaware that the Bible itself tels us that the whole of creation has come under a curse. And that is exactly whY the present earth and atmospheric heaven will be purified by supernatural fire, in order to prepare for the New Heavens and the New Earth.

ROMANS 8 [THE CURSE = THE BONDAGE OF CORRUPTION]
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature [CREATION] was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature [CREATION] itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption,to wit, the redemption of our body.

2 PETER 3 [THE EARTH AND ATMOSPHERE TO BE PURIFIED]
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

the land of the garden of Eden was no longer under the protection of God, but the land would revert to its wild, unsubdued state like the rest of the land around the garden.
Another false notion. The Garden of Eden (called Paradise) was taken up to Heaven.

2 CORINTHIANS 12
1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

you make me wanna eat a bag of chips (jking)

about this though:
We produce one child at a time, not litters .
twins? triplets?

animals produce litters because of the high mortality rate in the wild of their offspring

since people got involved with 'breeding' though, shelters are full and thousands are killed every day in overflowing shelters

I personally know of one person who refused any treatment for cancer, died and left behind her family

JW's refuse transfusions if I am not mistaken and have had children removed for treatment by the authorities

if God would cure everyone, do you think people would then believe in Him who do not believe in Him now?

Sin and sickness, death and corruption entered the world with the first sin.
Living in a fallen world, it seems to me God has been gracious considering the worse that could happen.
For Christians the worst would be dying without hope.
We not only have hope, we have assurance!
God never promised us a rose garden, we have no promise of a "tomorrow"
Love this old saying: never trouble Trouble until Trouble toubles you

" This is the day that the Lord has made
Let us rejoice and be glad in it"

depends on the size of aquarium

medicine is all potions? are you anti doctors, hospitals etc?

I don’t know what Fall you are referring to. God commanded Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:28 to “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Jesus came along later and spoke against divorce in answering the Pharisees, quoting Genesis 2:24 which says “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

My point? If The Fall occurred after Genesis, Jesus in saying in Matthew 19:5 6 “…What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate,” was abiding by what was written in Genesis, Fall or no Fall. So God’s command to Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:28 to “have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth,” is just as relevant. And did not Jesus say he came to uphold the Law and the prophets?

Where in the Bible does Jesus say to ignore Genesis, or any part thereof, especially when he himself referred to it?

The fall of Adam and Eve.. They DID multiply and have dominion, until they fell from God's grace.

Well, then, The Fall happened after Genesis 2:24 so Jesus apparently wasn't phased by quoting Genesis 2:24 anyway. So, if Genesis 2:24 is still relevant despite The Fall happening later, then why not Genesis 1:28?

Considering Adam and Eve never divorced, nor left each other.. also, several other people at that time DID marry, divorce, and remarry.. Jesus was speaking of future generations, as well as to the people of that time.

Also, I don't see what multiplying and being fruitful/ having dominion, has to do with marrying and not getting divorced.

Actually the statement about sickness and weak is not entirely correct....The spanish flu during WW 1 was more apt to kill the healthy and spare the weak and infirm.........that is a fact.....some diseases are more devastational upon those in their prime.......key word....SOME!
