yes its very ignorant to claim Jesus is your example and then say the law is not meant for Christians when the example of Jesus follows the law.
Jesus loved, as the father taught him to love, By Love he automatically did not break the law

He did not follow the law. That is what the pharisees did.

So why would we take the examle of the pharisee and Not Jesus?

this would make the law completely arbitrary. why would the Father do something so meaningless?
Who said it was arbitrary? Did it not fulfill its purpose? Paul said it did..

Sin is a big deal to US. We tell big stories about it making everyone afraid.

But the Lord Jesus Christ Atoned for sin. For all of it. We go to Christ to receive this Atonement. It is the ONLY way for sins to be forgiven.

Trying to keep sin out of your life by working at the law won't work. If you think that it is working then you don't have enough respect for the law. You don't fully understand what it says.

All the methods, that you say that God used, weren't to keep sin out of our life. They were ALL designed to bring you to Himself. It is the ONLY way for righteousness. It is the ONLY way for forgiveness. It is the ONLY way for Salvation. It is the ONLY way for Justification. It is the ONLY way for sanctification. It is the ONLY way for rest.

You can't wait until you are sinless to come to God. You'll never make it.

The Hebrew people knew the law as well as . They fell short because they thought they kept it. All they kept was their carnal idea of what they THOUGHT it was. Just like everyone else today who thinks they keep the law.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The law doesn't give a person an understanding of the Holy Spirit. The Law doesn't give a person the abilities of the Holy Spirit.

The Law only COMMANDS a person to do what the Holy Spirit does and refrain from doing the things the Holy Spirit does not do.

In order to receive understanding you must come to Christ.
Amen, thats why they acted the way they did (judged others) Because in their flesh, they had to to help convince themselves how great they are, if they did not, they woudl be FORCED to look at their sin and make a judgment decision based on that knowledge.

Sadly, we have to many religious christians (in name only) who do the same thing.

Yes:

  • "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (Colossians 2.14,15).
  • "For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law." (Hebrews 7.12).
  • "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. " (Hebrews 7.18).

After the death of the Jesus Christ:

  • "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;" (Ephesius 2.14,15).

I simply don't buy this not following the law. How can you follow Christ and not follow the law? I can understand the concept of following the law legalistically, without love, and yet not following the law. I think of the person our media pictures who grits her teeth and tries to be nice to a mother in law she hates because God tells her to. That is following the law and yet not following the law. But it would be impossible to break the law of honoring parents and follow the law of the Lord.

I wish this site could just picture a person who follows God with wisdom, kindness, and good will and let that be following law. Paul always ended his tirades about law with putting out the conclusion that we should just sin so grace abides and Paul said "heaven forbid". I say to all this putting down the law posting, law that came from God's word, "heaven forbid".

If your going to follow the law your required to do it as required.
If youru going to water down the law. Then why bother following it.

Is it not better to follow Christ and follow the law of Love? Which we are capable of doing?

Endoscopy,

The Lord said that he didn't come to abolish the Law of Moses and the Prophets, but fulfill it; that heaven and earth will not pass away until all is accomplished. This was clearly done when Christ had suffered, died, resurrected, and ascended on our behalf in his blood to mediate a new and better covenant that these things spoke about.
ROFL
That concept is ridiculous. Jesus stated until heaven and earth disappear. When did that happen???

The law as Jesus said is in place. We all admit we are sinners. By definition sin is breaking the law. The only way to escape being judged according to the law is to accept the grace in faith of Jesus. Our breaking of the law then was put on Jesus at his crucifixion. The fact that 3 days later he rose from the dead is the proof that he was the Messiah. In the Old Testament yearly sacrifices were made for their past years sins. That looked forward to Jesus the Messiah being the unblemished Lamb of God.

Those who reject Jesus will be condemned by being judged according to the law. Woe to them. If you break the least of the law it is as though you broke them all.

Your statement is confusing. You state in part:
He did not break the law.
He did not follow the law.

Impossible!! If he did not follow the law by definition he broke it. The fact he followed the law by not breaking it made him the unblemished Lamb of God. Thus the perfect sacrifice for our sins aka breaking the law.

The main reason there are so many Christians in name only is all of the major protestant denominations are secular. They were taken over by secular men going to seminaries and becoming ministers using the right answers but not believing them. They just wanted access to the church money. They avoided the denominations where the deacons control the money. Presbyterian PCA and Lutheran Missouri Synod for example. If you go to a Presbyterian USA church you will not hear the gospel message. Gary North documented its takeover in 1932. They defrocked the last Christian minister that had control over money, the mission funds.

What is more important?

A. Following the Law.

B. Following Righteousness.

Here are a couple more choices;

A. Being right in your own eyes.

B. Being right before God.

Choose wisely...

Would you please tell me which of God's laws does not include love?

Do you look at all projects before you and say you refuse to do any of them because you can't do them perfectly?

How are you going to manage to follow Christ who followed God's way (law) if you refuse to follow God's way?

Maybe you could sit in a corner repeating "I love".

The very fact you give those two choices tells me you do not know God's ways.

God tells us two important things: we are human and cannot reach perfection, and we are to be perfect.

Endo tells us to disobey Christ about being perfect, tell Christ no you won't try because you can't make it. You repeat this. I can't make it, scripture tells me so, and that is not a reason I accept to tell Christ no, I won't try.

I accept what Christ did for me and I died to sin with Christ. Christ takes my sin and I put on the ways of Christ rather than going all my own way. Christ as God knows the way and can lead me. Christ was on Mt Sinai, it was given as our first guide and Christ explains it more fully. Christ says follow me and that is just what I will do, I will not tell Christ no because it is all called law.

Can you tell me where commiting one sin is ok? Where breaking any part of the law is pleasing to the lord? Where even the smallest of all sins we can think of, If we break it, God will say, thats ok, You are doing great keep on trying?

I do not manage to try to keep Gods law. I CAN’T KEEP GODS LAW, and I am not foolish enough to go around trying to tell everyone I can!

So instead of trying to do what I CAN NOT DO. I do what Jesus said, Love starting with God above all, Then my neighbor. And follow this by doing what Paul said, Seek after the things of the spirit. And in doing so. I will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

You want to follow an unkeepable law. Good luck man,

Me? I will continue to follow God using his example. And knowing when I fail (And I will) I can come to my Abba Father not in fear of judgment, But as a father who loves me, who will send me back out with forgiveness and mercy and make me want to follow him even more.

And how do you know this? And how is this proven? Figure this out, and you will figure out what Grandpa and myself have been trying to tell you.

So you have chosen unwisely.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

I'm sure Endo probably tells you to disobey YOUR IDEA of Christ telling you to work at the law.

But no one can tell you to disobey YOUR IDEAS. If you think you must, then you must.

What is surprising to me is that you have been shown LOTS of the gospel through bible verses but still can't put 2+2 together. I think it is purposeful. I think you reject scripture in favor of YOUR IDEAS of working at the law. That's not supposed to be the way scripture works. Scripture is supposed to change your thinking. To tear down all the strongholds and imaginations that you have that are against Christ.

Isn't it strange how the Law can be a stronghold and an imagination against Christ?

2 Corinthians 3:14-16
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

All of Gods Laws include Love. The problem is that there is no good in you to obey Gods Laws.

So how can you possibly obey a Good God when you don't have the ability?

That's the point. You can't. You need Supernatural Help. You need to come to Christ and receive His Gift.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

We love because God loved us first. Until we experience Gods love in our lives, we have no capacity to love, thus no capacity to even begin to fulfill or obey the law. Except in our self righteousness. ..

You ignore what Jesus said and did in your list.
He stated the law is in place until the heavens and earth disappear.
1. Breaking the law is sin.
2. Breaking the least of the laws is as if you broke them all.
3. The wages of sin is death.
4. Jesus was the unblemished Lamb of God who made the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
5. God's free gift of grace through faith in Jesus removes the penalty of the law.
6. Woe to those who reject that grace.
