I have a healthy regard and respect for my wife after she massages my back, rubs my feet, makes me a sammich, washes, dries, irons and then folds my clothes, runs my bath water, cooks my dinner, and then tucks me in.

It's right after this the alarm goes off...
Hahaha yeah, dreaming again, huh?

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm curious, is your husband involved at all in the discussions you engage on this thread? Do you consult him at all?
Not married, but a very fair question. I probably would.

Uh-huh.

SnA told me he had his wife on her knees, begging. I was like, yeah, sure.

So I got her on the horn and asked her about that and she says, much to my initial shock; "Yes, he had me 'on my knees' trying to get him to come out from under the bed and fight like a man!"

Get off the female soapbox. The simple solution is to not have any indication of gender for any poster anywhere.

Thus gender is out of the picture and then you can show your brains (or your brawn).

forget it

YOU are one of the main males here who show your disrespect for women every time someone offers any sort of opportunity...just like you did here.

people who have been here for a year or so already know who is who and what sex God has given to them

shame on you

You plagiarized my dad. I heard dad tell someone that while talking to them on the phone a few years ago. :censored::rolleyes::mad:

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm curious, is your husband involved at all in the discussions you engage on this thread? Do you consult him at all?

well you didn't ask me, but:

my husband doesn't care for Christian forums...something about too many people don't know what they are talking about haha

I do tell him what goes on from time to time and I definitely told him about the a** incident. he can't figure why I bother...I learn alot about the current state of Christians...what they believe etc...I figure it is a pretty good cross section of who is sitting in the pew at any given time :oops::cautious:;) although it seems many don't bother to go to church or have contact with Christians outside of this forum

when I first joined, I was taken aback by the aggressive postings of certain people and by that I mean name calling, personal insults, and absolute lies and twisting of what a person actually states in a post. being truthful is a HUGE deal for me. this is not my first account but one of the mods had a little discussion with me and just said 'don't take it personally'. that, is the ONLY attitude one can have here that makes any sense

there was one woman in particular (no longer here) that had it in for me and really tried to get me banned. I actually think she was on medication and when she skipped her dose, she got on here and railed at literally just about everyone. there are folks on here who do not have it all together and I don't think we pay attention to that sort of thing...when someone sounds utterly loopy, they may just be utterly loopy

and yes I do consult my husband. and vice versa. it would be intolerable otherwise. I guess my dad was forward in his thinking...he thought I was just as smart and capable as anyone else. so that's where I got that idea LOL!

As long as none of the genders become confused, it should be ok

I just got told I was acting like ... donkey spelled with an a and 2 s's

I take that as I 'hit a nerve'

the real truth is that too many men do not like women with brains who actually know scripture

Angela gets insulted all the time

be forward and unspoken...stop the lol's (no offense) and see what happens then...and also do not advertise you are on staff

just being realistic. maybe use an alligator or something for your avatar and stop being a polite nice looking woman wanting peace with everyone

well now I've done it. sorry. not sorry. and this is not personal...just what I think is truthful. :(:giggle:

men can be very resentful of women. and they do not know what to make of a good looking women with intelligence, education and talent and especially God given gifts

the bottom line for many men is 'put women in their place'

ok...getting off the soapbox now
Angela is a perfect example, her intellect is above and beyond. I have a great deal of respect for her, and for many others here as well . I can understand why you would take offense at my OP, especially considering that women do take that kind of belittling attitude from men.

I also agree 100% with this...

men can be very resentful of women. and they do not know what to make of a good looking women with intelligence, education and talent and especially God given gifts.

While my approach with people can always use improvement I'm sure, who I am is not up for debate. I wasn't asking if I am ok as a person or as a woman. I do get, though, that as someone else pointed out, if I am going to engage in here or post a thread like this, be ready to handle it, or as you say, put on alligator skin.

Btw, I am not advertising being a staff here (I so want to put lol here), I'm serving and helping robo out with a little logistics around here, I did not put it there and it helps with the settings. I have no power or authority here. One more thing, my sound mind is a gift from Him and though I may be annoyingly respectful to others, sometimes, it is who I am and my goal isn't to win favor or applause. Yes, I like peace, and prefer a content that elevates the conversation. I don't take offense to your response, because it was fair and I don't think you were being a talking donkey, lol (Sorry not sorry for the lol). I have opinions and have a broadened approach to my having them after this thread. I will not change my approach attempting to be kind and tenderhearted with all people, even if it is perceived negatively or as ppl pleasing.

My question was an expressed concern that crossed my mind, was not intended to insult or degrade females and had zero hidden agenda.

Well, if you look at Timothy, his mother and grandmother played huge roles in his life. They helped him by grounding him in the word, or that is how I take Paul's words regarding Timothy.

The reason why our homes here in America are such a mess is because too many have not a Christian mother running it. :(

Well, I guess I am not in the least intimidated by intelligent good looking women. My wife is both of these, and more. She is a pharmD in addition to being beautiful.

I appreciate a woman who is intelligent and grounded in sound doctrine. If a man is intimidated by this or feels threatened? Um...lol! Come on, man!

His love and respect is a belt he has named 'love' and a switch he has named 'respect'. He gives her lots of 'love' and 'respect'.. He is oldschool.
