I dont know. I believe there is probably some form of higher power that created the universe. The rest is speculation
Well did you know that 'Noah's Arc' is there on Mt Ararat right where God says it is in the Bible, Gen 8:4,? Presidents have seen it and the CIA knows it's there. I have a book 'The Ark of Ararat' and one chapter is of an Armenian man who knew the seasons and took his young nephew up to see the Ark. The nephew described the Ark, split in half, as it is written in the Bible. Point being God is involved with His creation. Also, 'The Shroud of Turin' cannot b disproved that it is the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. The markings on it speak for themselves. God bless.

In other words you're not a Deist, you're an Agnostic. A Deist acknowledges the God of the Bible, but rejects the idea that He did more than set creation into motion and walked away. Basically they reject the idea of the supernatural or that God that is continuously active in his creation.

Your welcome... by fighting for and defending our countries freedoms and posting here -
I have afforded you the opportunity to express yourself via your 'freedom of speech.'
I actually respect your opinion and I can actually understand and appreciate your
perspective. In fact I'm proud to have contributed to the rights of a country that ensures
its people are afforded a right to protest...

Semper Fidelis, and God Bless you brother...
Thank you for your service. Being in the Marines myself,
I learned to be proud of my country, and respect my fellow man.

I will Allways be faithfull to my country, and God who made us great.
But am afraid the sins of our people will be our downfall.

yeah that's one of the reasons I'm not Christian because
the Bible condones slavery which is immoral
Sorry to hear your view about God, an seem you blame God.

Slavery Is a Modern Problem.
The truth is, more people are in slavery today than at any time in history.

And while most are forced into hard labor in sweatshops or fields, an estimated 1.75 million
worldwide are sexual objects who are purchased, sold, used and discarded—for customers’
pleasure and for slave holders’ profit.

If you watch porn, you could be helping slavery.
If you buy cheep goods to save money, you could be helping slavery.

First, the painful reality is that you might personally be contributing to this scourge!
You need to understand why it happens. You need to understand what creates the demand
that these slave traffickers supply. Modern slavery is so widespread that if you personally
aren’t contributing to it, then one or more of your neighbors down the street probably is.
-

Most of today’s slaves reside in Asia and Africa. But in the United States, for example,
7,565 cases of trafficking and enslavement were reported just in the year 2016, well over
one third more than the year before. The Justice Department estimates that the number
of sex slaves in America is a staggering 300,000.

Are You to Blame?

Not long ago, people had to exert some effort in order to view pornography. Now a person
has to exert effort not to view it. Pornography websites receive more visitors each week
than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined. In fact, over 30 percent of all data transferred
across the Web is pornography. The sobering truth is that anyone who uses pornography
is ultimately contributing to the demand for sex slaves.

A Sick Society

The booming slave trade within our “modern,” “enlightened,” “sophisticated” and “free” society
teaches a stark lesson to those who will acknowledge the truth: Mankind is simply incapable of
solving its own problems. As Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Christ did promise to return in power and glory, and that at that time He will obliterate injustice!
Psalm 12:5 records God saying, “I have seen violence done to the helpless and I have heard the
groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do” .
Psalm 72:4, God says He will “save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.”
-

“And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: And they made their lives bitter
with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service,
wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. … [A]nd the children of Israel sighed by reason of
the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage” Ex 1:13-14; 2:23

The Israelites had no freedom. Their lives were at the mercy of their taskmasters. They cried out
for freedom! Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin”

Many people have a habit they know is bad, and they feel guilty. They wish they could stop.
But no matter how hard they try, they just cannot overcome it. Why? Because they have been
overcome by it! And the truth is, they are actually enslaved by it. This is what Peter means by
saying, “Whatever overcomes a man, to that he is enslaved.”

yeah that's one of the reasons I'm not Christian because
the Bible condones slavery which is immoral
This is a really poor excuse, anyone can do a little research and find what God really condones.

God regulated divorce, and yet He explicitly said He hates it, so the regulation of the practice did
not mean He condoned it. Therefore, one cannot assume that God's regulation of slavery meant
God condoned slavery.
-

Since virtually everyone agrees that forced, involuntary servitude is morally wrong,
how can Christians justify the Bible's apparent support of slavery?

First, we must recognize that the Bible does not say God supports slavery. In fact, the slavery
described in the Old Testament was quite different from the kind of slavery we think of today -
in which people are captured and sold as slaves. According to Old Testament law, anyone caught
selling another person into slavery was to be executed:

"He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession,
shall surely be put to death." (Exodus 21:16) So, obviously, slavery during Old
Testament times was not what we commonly recognize as slavery.

Unlike our modern government welfare programs, there was no safety-net for ancient Middle
Easterners who could not provide a living for themselves. In ancient Israel, people who could
not provide for themselves or their families sold them into slavery so they would not die of
starvation or exposure. In this way, a person would receive food and housing in exchange for labor.

The Irrational Atheist by Vox DaySo, although there are rules about slavery in the Bible, those rules
exist to protect the slave. Injuring or killing slaves was punishable - up to death of the offending party.

1 Hebrews were commanded not to make their slave work on the Sabbath,2 slander a slave,3 have
sex with another man's slave,4 or return an escaped slave.5 A Hebrew was not to enslave his fellow
countryman, even if he owed him money, but was to have him work as a hired worker, and he was to
be released in 7 years or in the year of jubilee (which occurred every 50 years), whichever came first.
6 In fact, the slave owner was encouraged to "pamper his slave".7........

I think it is bad you think you know what is right but the bible is wrong.
Sure glad you are here to learn the truth, like Christ said: the truth will set you free.
