I say, shame on you! Can it be that there isn’t one person among you wise enough to be able to settle a dispute between brothers?

We see here that regardless the translation the message is clear, that they all have the capacity to bring His revealing. I would argue that limiting ones resources in the avenue of greater understanding, or not, either way, His Grace is sufficient.
