Love’s definition is found in 1 Corinthians 13…

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬7 NASB

We also know God is Love and that He gives us a soft heart so that we, ourselves, can love Him and each other in the way we are called.

I honestly believe that is why we have to guard our hearts. The softened heart condition He gives, which is Himself, is the most sacred gift we are ever given.

How do we guard it? He and His righteousness are always the answer. We we find ourselves impatient with one another, go to Him. When envious thoughts creep in, go to Him. When we think highly of ourselves, prideful and arrogant, go to Him. When our thoughts and actions are toxic, go to Him. When dying to self is out of reach, run to Him. When our responses are easily angered or hurt, go to Him. When mercy and grace are hard to give, go to Him. When it is easier to follow the ways of the world, than to follow Him, go to Him. When weakness causes us to want to give up on love, give up on hope, and give up on God, like with all other situations and scenarios, 100% go to Him.

Our capacity for great love, in all that we say, think and do, is always in and with Him!!!!
