Jesus in pain had the thought that the Father had forsaken Him, but God had not turned His back. At the death of the Son, the earth shook and the sun was darkened. I see that as God having the last word on that event. It was so astounding that some of the centurians came to believe Jesus was who He said He was.

Where does it say in Scripture, that Jesus "thought" the Father had forsaken them. I need verses! What you have posted is hearsay or pure imagination.

Then there is another stretching of the text:

Please post the verses that says "Some of the centurions." A centurion is over a "century" or 100 or more men. I am quite certain there were not 100's of Roman soldiers there, watching the crucifixion of three lowly criminals. Nope, the Bible says there was ONE at the cross. One source says this centurion was mostly likely lower rank because he got the crucifixion detail≥

You do this all the time. You have some theory, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, and you throw up a bad paraphrase to prove your point. In the future, I would ask you to look up the verses, and then post them with the book, chapter and verse. And the version, if it is a weird one. Then, I can argue either that you have quoted it wrong, or the translation is off.

Further, my suggestion is that you actually read a modern translation, every day. I doubt you would make all these silly mistakes, if you actually read the Bible, every day, all year long, year after year.

You are the one who does not clearly quote the Bible. You string together some verses, often misquoted and then claim your are a prophet. Not! When you stop claiming you are God's own prophet, and actually post something that makes sense, in context, then we can actually look at the Bible, and where you are wrong.

I'm not making this into a version thread, but when God's word is attacked, I will defend. If I were you, I would ask for my higher learning $$ back. You've been educated right out of any belief in God's pure words.

Over and over, God's "originals" were destroyed and God had to make another copy. Were these copies of the "originals" inspired? Absolutely! Copies can and are inspired by God.

If you want to stay in a cult, that is your choice. I said nothing against the KJV. It is a translation many have used, including people in this forum. But, if you want to pretend that a translation from the 16th century is inspired, when it Erasmus used 7 late, corrupt manscripts to translate most of the NT, which the KJV based its NT on, then you are clueless.

So glad I have real Bible training, and I am close to God and I have read many Bible versions and languages, and God through the Holy Spirit and my education has trained me to understand translational and manuscript issues. To say nothing of doctrine!

Why is it that the cults, like the Mormans and others, always use the KJV? Because no one really understands KJV, and no one wants to admit it. Well, except me! I admit the KJV is too archaic and obsolete for me to understand. And if you understand and use it, great for you! But that doesn't make it the only inspired version.

In fact, the Byzantine manuscripts have no history back to the original, inspired manuscripts. They just started being copied in the 4th century, but many copies with lots of errors were in full swing by the 10th century. And each generation of scribe adding to the manuscripts, until there were so many additions, but it took until the 20th century before the science of manuscript reading tracked every mistake, and where and when they started. And oh how those Byzantine scribes like to embellish the text. Which is why you can't trust the Byzantine tradition or the so-called TR.
