so, what is prophecy?

God reading tomorrow's newspaper today? or does He bring it about?
are their instances of both?
God knows the future from His foreknowledge of the future.. He does inject himself into History along the way in the form of His Holy Spirit and The Messiah Jesus.. But again He does not force anyone to respond with agreement to the conviction of the Holy Spirit or the Words of Jesus.. He provides an option for humanity.. Just as satan has injected himself into History providing people with his message and the option of following him in his rebellion against God.. People are free to embrace whom they will to embrace and reject whom they will to reject..

Ultimately God will being about His eternal plane to fruition.. But He will use the free willed reactions of the people of this world and the Angels and His input to bring it about perfectly..

My post was not to you Lillywolf.. Therefore please to do interfere with a discussion between other people..
To the contrary. Refer to post 515. You were speaking to me and I replied. Please do know of what you speak before thinking to berate someone for actually answering you when you posted to them.

Furthermore, this is a public forum on the Internet. It is not a private conclave of discourse. If you are a paid member you may speak privately to anyone you choose. While in the public domain your remarks, as are mine, are subject to anyone's response.

And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
(Matthew 17:24-27)

did the coin get in the fish by God's foreknowledge?
did He bring it to pass?

don't even have to be a paid member to use PM's

((tho a person may set their account to prevent receiving them except from friends))

i don't get the whole 'don't post in my public thread' attitude some people have.. it's not how forums are meant to work, as far as i understand them.

If the fish had come upon and swalled a coin while doing the things that Fish do then Jesus would have known it was going to have a coin in it on that day at that time.. But i do not know why you are asking me this.. It could be that he caused the coin to materialize inside the fish and caused the fish to latch onto Peters cast..

But i am not sure why you are asking this question??

I think you are getting your forums confused.
Anyone here can discover for themselves the rules of ChristianChat.Com, as pertains to PM's. (Private Messaging).
Just mouse to the ENVELOPE icon on the toolbar at the top of the page near your profile picture or screen name Letter. Right click and scroll to, OPEN IN OTHER TAB, so you can follow this post. When you do that you'll see this message. Because doing that is the same means you take to send a PM in other forums. A little window will open with a link, "START A NEW CONVERSATION". LEFT CLICK that. And this is the message you will get if you are not a paid member of CHRISTIANCHAT.COM.

Attention:
You need a paid subscription in order to initiate private conversations with other members
(and you also get other forum and chat benefits).

This helps protect our system from abuse and also helps fund our site.

A ONE YEAR subscription is only $24 (one time, not recurring), so that's only $2 per month.

A LIFETIME subscription is only $100 (one time, not recurring).

ONE YEAR Membership LIFETIME Membership

Someone who is a paid member may PM you if you are not so. And you can reply to them. But you CANNOT start a conversation at CHRISTIANCHAT.COM unless you are a paid member.

The definition of free will is posted. That God is omniscient is without dispute. That his word tells us he foreknows, predestines, and foreordains all that occurs according to his will, for his purposes, and for his glory, is also without dispute because to say we believe God's word is to accept God's words when he tells us these things.

Anything else is demonstration of our unwillingness to accept God at his will, and in the interim create God in our preferred image and likeness of what we prefer to believe about something we call, God.

God said it.
How does someone who believes in God not believe he said it.
