I am struggling with a decision. I have prayed and having a hard time. My spouse (34) about 2 years ago had a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl. I try to hold my wedding vows I made before God, but I feel I need to report him. I don’t think it is right what he did and it is really eating at me because I am a mother and I feel as a mother the mother of this young lady would want me to do what is right by her child. I have prayed to God about my marriage and I believe it is over. I am hurt And my love for him is gone* I feel God is not listening and has left me

So you've protected a child sex predator for two years and your excuse is holding your wedding vows before god? I'd say thats fairly blasphemous.

Jesus also spoke Very Strongly against harming children in any way. And you've been aiding a statutory child rapist. I feel 100% positive god is more worried about that child (and probably more than one, you've only discovered one) than you letting a criminal child rapist go free to continue abusing children.

I also cannot imagine waiting 2 years to report a child rapist! Pick up the phone and do it now. Do you have any evidence? Gather it up, present it.

Your husband had broken your marriage vows and defiled the marriage bed. And with a child! How horrible!

Pack your bags and leave. He obviously has not reported himself. If he changes, that would be one thing. But, he is not your husband. And even if he changed, by the power of God, he still needs to pay for this crime.

PS Don't report him because you don't love him anymore. Report him because he has broken God's law, and the law of the land. Even if this young girl "consented" the brain of a child doesn't mature till age 21 or longer. She simply had no tools to make this decision. She was not mature enough to consent!

Report him. God has not left you, you're just in a traumatic time in your life. Report your husband for the good of others.

I would report him as he has broken the law and committed child abuse, statutory rape and probably other crimes. How you feel about him or your marriage at the moment is kinda irrelevant to what you should do.

It's a felony. It is known as statutory rape. And his behavior is that of, not a pedophile, but an Ephebophile. Definition LINKS
You are not required to hold to your vows due to his sexual immorality. As scripture shares with you. You'll find those scriptures are directing the husbands in that regard. However, the other scripture says that when married the two become one in that relationship. Therefore, if the husband can divorce the wife for adultery or sexual immorality, the latter is your husbands crime, then you the wife are able to divorce on those same grounds.
Also, the 14 year old you know about is very unlikely to be the only victim of your predator husband. Males that have that appetite don't stop with one.

You're not alone. The holy spirit is alive inside you guiding you to the truth of your realization about this wicked man. He's given you the strength to realize you no longer love the one you married because he is not the man God knows you deserve.

Holding you and the young victim in prayer. I would absolutely go to her mother. It is your responsibility now that you know your husband is a sexual predator of teen girls to do your best to keep your community safe. Otherwise, should he remain free, he shall remain as an (alleged) offender.

God is not shocked, in fact if we take a spin back to the oldie testament time's we will see that God would command the taking of young virgin girls for wife's.

I don't think God care's if you marry a 14 year old, but you do, so who's right and wrong.

State law and statutory rape guidelines, unless there are exemptions per parental consent, in America at least, make it very clear what's right and what's wrong. Even in the case of that which has no moral conscience, the law of man outlines reality rather clearly.

Well who do you follow, God's law or mans law? Does the bible say that you can't court and marry a 14 year old. I'm just pointing out that your level of offence to this matter is not in proportion of your belief's. If you want to be a thorough believer then you have to accept how God sees relationships, not the state.

Can you read? The OP is the wife of a man who committed adultery with a 14-year-old girl. She wants to know if she should have been charged for statutory rape.

This is not about pedophiles' rights. This is about law of the land and the man who committed adultery. It is illegal to sleep with 14-year-old girls regardless of what Mohammed did. As for right and wrong that is clear that adultery is wrong that's what we are talking about to say nothing of the fact that it is illegal today, which automatically makes it wrong!

Where does it say in the Bible that it is okay to sleep with the 14-year-old? Worst case ever of using the Bible to prove a lie.

King James Bible.
But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves

Address?? And, unfortunately, bad hermeneutics to make a sick doctrine out of one verse! Especially because this verse in context is about the spoils of battle. In context the first before says to kill every woman who is not a virgin and every boy.

"Now therefore kill every boy, and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. 18 But all the young women who have not had sexual intercourse with a man will be yours." Numbers 31:17-18 NET

Even the King James version is clear that this is about after the battle, nothing to do with making a doctrine to please pedophiles.

"Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

19 And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

20 And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood." Numbers 37:17-20 KJV

Note the people who have killed in the in battle are to stay outside the camp for seven days and purify their clothes. Next time you are in an Israelite battle feel free to grab a few young women. Nothing to do with 14-year-olds either. They could well have been virgins in their early 20s.

Even apostate Rome had one valid concern: That the Scriptures would get into the hands of the wrong people. You've brought its concern to fruition. Congrats!

So what! It show's that God (Your God) Allows the marrying and use of young girl's. It's the subject matter that I'm talking about.

Which shows your utter ignorance as to how to read the Bible. First, KJV has a bad translation. Young Woman is the best translation.

"Now therefore kill every boy, and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. 18 But all the young women who have not had sexual intercourse with a man will be yours." Numbers 31:17-18 NET

But the root of the issue is:
1. After a battle to cleanse Canaan of the non-Believers.
2. Kill the young men and older women. Take young women who are ceremonially clean for yourselves.
3. Cleanse yourself for 7 days outside the camp.
4. Purify your wool, skins and goats hair.

So, if you want to capture a young woman, after a battle, also you MUST kill the young men, the older women, and be prepared to not come into the camp for 7 days, because you have killed and you are unclean.

THEY ALL GO TOGETHER!!

So, are you a Muslim, or just an ordinary pedophile?

As for the OP, she is aiding and abetting someone who has committed statutory rape, and needs to obey the law and report him immediately. Or haven't you read Romans 13?

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2 So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment 3 (for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation," Romans 13:1-3 NET

This woman is not obeying the law, as God commands, because she has not reported him for statutory rape. Obey the Bible, especially the NT. We are not under those Old Testament laws at all, even if this were more straightforward.

Here is an article in a woman who let her boyfriend rape her 8-10 year old daughter repeatedly. Not exactly the same circumstances, but she failed to stop or report him, and got a 25 year sentence.

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/withoutacrystalball/2018/11/mother-sentenced-rape-daughter/

This is very serious, there is only one decision to make- report her husband for statutory rape!

PS With no time limits in rape, if you don't report him now, this could be reopened by the child 10-30 years later! It will haunt you all your days, if you don't do the right thing!

This scripture has absolutly Nothing to do with the Situation revealed by the OP in this thread.. Your input here has been very counter productive to say the lest

No it doesn't.. It does not say they would be used for sexual gratification.. It is you who has injected that,, Added it to that verse by insinuation...
