Just think what could have happened if Eve did not believe the serpents deception but OBEYED God instead. ...NO NEED TO DISCUSS SALVATION FOR SURE because no one needs to be saved.
The truth is that Adam and Eve were created according to the image of God's righteousness and holiness and they BELIEVE and OBEY God until they got DECEIVED and disobeyed God.
Did God warn us about the deception? If He did, then why resist them?
Does a person who teaches obedience to God causes another person to sin by doing so?
Would any person who don't have FAITH in God teach obedience to God? Or would the deceiver be TEACHING obedience to God as a deception? Would he not rather teach DISOBEDIENCE in His attempt to deceive the believers?
Is it not those who condemn those who teach obedience to God who DOES NOT HAVE FAITH in God and CAUSES A PERSON TO SIN?
Is it not that sin is the transgression of the law?(1 john 3:4)
Is it obedience to God to break the law?
Who then causes another person to sin?

Who said anything about educated theologians? Was that a dig.....? If it was it was ignorant.....All I said was to look up a phrase from the Greek and see what it actually meant to a 1st century Greek speaking believer......I said nothing of theology!!!

Eve didn't believe God, she trusted "another voice" over the Word of God. I think that was the message of this example created for our admonition.
Jesus said we are "Being saved" and that we "Shall be saved" if we do this or that. It's in your Bible. I think the religion that she was already "saved" or already immortal was a deception told her by the "other voice". It's still going on today.
There is a "Law" which requires Faith in God to receive the blessing. The Mainstream Preachers of Christ's time "omitted" this "Law". Eve also "omitted" this law and was punished.
Paul says "death" for sin is for the purpose of showing how exceedingly wicked and really really bad rebellion and disrespecting God is. So we would take it seriously and strive to "Rule over it" as the Christ told Cain.
God sent His Son to create the world, and life, and humans, and Salvation. "Many" who come in Christ name don't believe Jesus wrote down His fathers Will on tablets of stone, and then promised to became a man and write those same Laws on our hearts. Those who believe in this "Jesus" hear His Sayings and "Doeth them". But "many" hear His sayings and don't really believe, so the "doeth them not"..
Paul says we all know God, but don't "glorify Him as God". It seems Eve was included in that statement.
That would include everyone since His assenting to His Father.
The serpent convinced Eve of this very same falsehood. Genesis 3, see for yourself. Jesus said if we "believe" in Him, we will do what He says.
Ex. 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
I believe in this Christ, the Word of God which became Flesh.
It is also prudent to note that God gave us the example of Eve who was deceived by "Another Voice" which used some of God's Words. He also gave us the example of Abraham who was most certainly tempted by the "other voice" as well. One obeyed the instructions of God no matter what, and the other was convinced to reject god's instructions by another voice.
These examples were written for our admonition. The example seems clear. It is better to listen to and obey God's instruction, than to listen to another voice and be convinced to reject God's instruction.
It seems your statement "Obedience has no bearing on salvation" is not accurate if the scriptures are to be believed.
Prove Adam lied.....my bible states clearly that Adams eyes were open AFTER he ATE....there is NO indication whatsoever at all that he LIED before HE ATE of the tree.....NOW You have a big problem with this view.......Adam was made perfect and given 1 rule...don't eat of that tree.....you are embellishing the word and NOTE EVE did not say that ADAM SAID....she said clearly that GOD HAS SAID.......both were perfect until the tree......

Touche ........I am not impressed with Dallas Theological Seminary either......My Southern Baptist uncle went there and I for sure disagree with many things he embraces and peddles...like sharing his pulpit with other religions for one......
