Daniel Prophecy

Chapter 9
3rd vision in the 1st year of the reign of Darius, king of the Chaldeans 538 BC

2. Daniel gets information from the writing of Jeremiah:

The number of years (70) for the completion of the desolation of Jerusalem (the Babylon captivity/Jeremiah 25: 11-12) after which God promised to restore Israel….see notes under verse 24.

THESE VERSES ARE THE KEY TO THE REST OF THIS PROPHECY because the 70 years in this verse refer to the length of the BABYLON captivity (from the time of captivity until the Jews return to Jerusalem)


Verses 3 – 19 are Daniel’s prayer, a confession of his people’s sins and a plea for mercy
20 – 23 Gabriel comes to Daniel while he is praying, the angel came to give Daniel insight and understanding of the v
24. “70 weeks had been decreed for your people (Jews) and your holy city”.

( In Isaiah 45: 1-3, 13 the Lord gives the name of the one who would free them…CYRUS, who overthrew Babylon in October 539 BC. 42,360 Jews returned (Ezra 2:64) and the journey was completed from Babylon to Jerusalem by 535 BC…..EXACTLY 70 years from the year of their captivity in 605 BC)

This is Christ Jesus: verses 24 - 25
To finish the transgressions and sins and make atonement for their iniquity
Jesus was wounded for our transgressions Is 53:5…and made an end of them……IT IS FINISHED Heb 9:15 Heb 9:26 Matt. 1:21 John 1:29
Bring in everlasting righteousness
Seal up visions and prophecies (He is the fulfillment of prophesy, we look for no other Messiah)

25 From the going forth of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem (by Artaxerxes I in 457 BC, the 7th year of his reign, see Ezra 7: 12-26…….the first advent view of prophecy)
Until Messiah the Prince……shall be 69 weeks (483 years) (7 +62)….the street and even the wall will be built. (see Nehemiah) 457BC to 27AD is 483 years

AND after the 62 weeks Messiah will be cut off (the CROSS)

And the people of the prince who is to come (one of the Caesars, the use of the singular ‘prince’ signifies one Caesar in particular, but the Caesar reign en toto was opposed to any worship but Caesar worship.) Revelation give the order of the kings (caesars)

These people will destroy the city and the temple….the end coming with a flood ( of invaders) and there will be much desolation such as the Lord has determined (ordained) (“ the people” are the army of Caesar)

And HE ( Jesus Christ) shall confirm the covenant (the NEW COVENANT) with the MANY (the sheep of the Jewish nation are the MANY) for one week*; and in the midst of the week he is cut off. (a week signifies 7 in days,, months or years) (the ministry of Jesus Christ lasted 3 ½ years)

How can that be when the text makes it CRYSTAL CLEAR that Messiah was cut off BEFORE the 70th week?

That is a future event. It is not related to the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, but the sabotage of sacrifices in the future temple at Jerusalem by the Antichrist. His goal will be to (1) set up the Abomination of Desolation in the Holy Place (Mt 24:15) and then to (2) sit in the temple of God boasting that He is God and Christ (2 Thess 2). All of this is also described in the book of Daniel, but the passage to which it relates is Revelation 13.

In Revelation 13:4-6; 14,15 we read:
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven... [the Antichrist in the temple]

And [the False Prophet] deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. God has to end this sin business on earth one day for He cannot allow mankind to keep sinning on earth forever, and His plan is to have His people dwell with Him, and to put down the world.

God is love, and will not give up on the world until the world gives up on Him, so He is giving the world a certain amount of time to have their way, and cause all people that do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom in Revelation 13, and when they do then God will put down the world.

God said He is going to gather all nations together against Jerusalem, so all nations governments will come together to try to establish peace on earth, and then attack Jerusalem, the Jews.

God's plan is to restore the kingdom on earth to Israel, and as a nation must come to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah, which Jesus said to the disciples the Father will do it in His own time, and He will make a full end of all Gentile nations, their ruling governments, but not make a full end of Israel.

God said He is going to gather the whole house of Jacob, all 12 tribes, and put them back on the land of Israel, and leave none of the Jews in the nations anymore, and they will know the LORD from that day forward, and He will not hide His face from them again, but they will always be in the truth from that time forward.

Some will say it is a past prophesy, or the Babylonian captivity, but it is not, for if it was a past prophesy Israel would be in the truth from that day forward, and would be in the truth today, and if it was the Babylonian captivity Israel would be in the truth from that time forward, and would of never rejected Christ.

God warns the saints of the new age movement, and their false interpretation of the Bible based on the occult, and evolution, and people can still evolve, and interpret all religions that way, and the time will come the world will only want to hear the Bible according to the new age movement, and will lead all people that do not love God to the beast kingdom that acknowledges no personal God, but honors the God of forces, or the power of nature as their higher power.

Israel is blinded in part, until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles, and so all Israel shall be saved, for Israel as a nation will turn to Jesus, and Jesus saves them from the world that attacks them, and the kingdom on earth restored to them, after salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

70 weeks, 490 years, are determined upon Israel to make an end of sins, which is before Jesus of their disobedience, which is testified by the Roman Empire controlling them, which if they were in the truth no enemy could go against them according to the promise of God, so they were not in the truth before Jesus came, and to anoint the most holy who is Jesus, so Israel as a nation has to accept Jesus as their Messiah.

Which Jesus said the Jews will not see Him again until they say, blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord, but God always restores the Jews, and will do it in the future after they have borne their shame for their sins and iniquities against God, which caused them to lose the kingdom on earth temporarily.

Israel as a nation has to come to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah at the end of those 70 years, nothing wavering.

But we see they have not done that yet, so the 70 weeks could of not been fulfilled, and 69 weeks have passed, and one more week to go, 7 years, which is the time that God causes all people that do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom, and brings Israel to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

The man of sin, New Age Christ, will establish peace in the Middle East, and it will pave the way for all Jews to go to Israel, and the Jews and the Gentiles will be separated, except for the Palestinians in Israel, and none of the Jews will be left in the Gentile nations anymore, which is what the man of sin wants, the prince to come, but God means it for good towards the Jews.

The Jews will rebuild their temple, and go back to animal sacrifices, for they are still blinded in part, with no hassle from the Palestinians, and the Jews will split Jerusalem with the Palestinians.

The Gentile nations will come together and say Peace and safety as they try to establish peace on earth, and the 7 years will begin.

Repentance and salvation are still available to the Gentiles during the first three and one half years, and the world will operate by the ten horn kingdom, the world split in to ten sections with a leader in each section, and a unified religious system based on the new age movement, and all religions interpreted as such, evolution, and people can still evolve, and anything preached contrary to that is a hate crime for they are trying to have peace on earth, and they are not speaking the truth if it is contrary to the unified religious system.

That will spark a war between Islam and the world, for the Muslims say that it is an insult to Allah, and they cannot hinder them from spreading their religion, and preaching about it, and will feel they have no choice but to fight in the name of their religion, which the man of sin plucks up 3 horns, sections of the world, by the roots, which the Bible describes nuclear weapons.

That war is so terrible as to cause one third of the population of the world to die, mainly in the Arab nations, and the ten horn kingdom failed at trying to provide peace on earth, that the world is without hope, and turns to the New Age Christ as the solution to try to establish peace on earth.

The man of sin will step in to the Jews temple, and tell them to stop animal sacrifices, and claim to be their God and Messiah, and address the world, and the false prophet will do miracles in the sight of the people to convince them that the New Age Christ did harness the power of nature, and obtained power, evolved, and shared this power with the false prophet, and will share this power with whoever follows him, but the Bible calls them lying wonders.

The New Age Christ gave the world hope for peace on earth, and the deadly would was healed of the ten horn kingdom that failed, for the 7 heads of the beast are the 7 kingdoms that have been on earth, and the beast is of the 7 for Satan influenced those kingdoms, which is Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, the Roman Empire, the ten horn kingdom.

The beast gives them hope for peace, and the deadly wound was healed, the ten horn kingdom that failed to provide peace, and they said who is like unto the beast, who can make war against him.

When the people that do not love God follows the beast, and takes his mark, then repentance and salvation are no longer available to the, which the mark has to do with technology, for the beast's agenda is there is no personal God to help mankind, and they can establish peace by technology, and their devices, which will probably be the microchip linked to satellite, like a GPS tracking system, and if a crime happens they will know who was in the area, and how close they were to the crime scene, and can find lost people, with all information about them, including financial records, on the microchip, which no person may buy or sell without the mark, for it is the one world economic system, and no paper money being exchanged anymore, and no more debit or credit cards being used.

When the people that do not love God follow the beast, and take his mark, then repentance and salvation, are no longer available to them, and the fulness of the Gentiles have come in, and then God will send 2 witnesses to Israel to turn them to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah for the last three and one half years, and at the end of that time Israel as a nation will be in the truth, and so all Israel shall be saved, and the 70th week will be fulfilled, and the Jews in the truth.

The world will attack Jerusalem, the Jews, for they turned to Jesus denying the New Age Christ, and Jesus will come back with the saints, which God said He will gather all nations together against Israel, and then go forth and fight against those nations as He did in the day of battle when He fought for Israel in the Old Testament, and the LORD my God shall come and all the saints with thee, and Jesus will defeat the world, and save Israel, and the kingdom on earth restored to the Jews.

Jesus and the saints will rule for 1000 years over one sixth of the world that God spared at the battle of Armageddon, and they have to go up year after year to Jerusalem to worship the LORD, and keep the feast of tabernacles to be right with God, for they cannot be spiritual.

Jesus will fulfill the role of perfect King of earth, for He has not done that yet, and He came to fulfill the law, which the LORD shall be King over all the earth, and in that day there shall be one LORD, and His name one, which the people will acknowledge no other god, or religious figure but Jesus.

Satan will be in the bottomless pit for the 1000 years, and at the end of that time Satan will be loosed from the bottomless pit, and deceive the people and they go against the saints, and God rains fire upon them, and devours them, for they still have punishment coming for they took the mark of the beast, but God postponed it until the 1000 years were done, and they cannot inherit eternal life.

Jesus has fulfilled the role of perfect King on earth, and the law has been fulfilled, and heaven and earth will then pass away, and the saints will go to the new earth, the New Jerusalem, where sin has never been, and sin will never be, which is patterned after Israel, for the 12 tribes of Israel, and the 12 apostles of the Lamb, are written in the New Jerusalem.

In the 3rd year of King Cyrus, a 4th vision

Daniel is called Belteshazzar v1

5. saw a man dressed in linen, girded with gold, body was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightening (brilliant glow), his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sounds of a tumult……..

9. when Daniel heard the sound of His words, he fell into a deep sleep with his face on the ground.

10. A hand touched him and set him trembling on his hands and knees, and the man said to him, STAND UPRIGHT and hear the words that were about to be spoken…….further revelation about the visions.

This is such a strange and complicated teaching and so unreal... Israel does not have any sacrifices for 2,000 years, there is no theological base for it in the New Covenant and it corresponds with other Daniel's prophecies that it will be during the Roman empire when the rock of Christ will become the kingdom eternal.

But noooo, Daniel was not talking about this, he must not, because our 21st century dispensationalist theology would not work...

Where do I start?

1. Jeremiahs prophesy is not the key to understand gabriels prophesy concernign 70 weeks

Jeremiah Prophesied 70 years captivity, accordiing to the Lev 26 warnings God gave the children of Isreal.

Lev 26: 34 ‘Then the land willenjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths. 35 All the days of its desolation it will observe the rest which it did not observe on your sabbaths, while you were living on it.

Gabriel prophesied 70 weeks of years, in which Isreal will be allowed to live in her land and at the end of that time, She wil repent (bring an end to sin)

2. David understood it was the end of the 70 year time period. Thats why He was making intercession for his people and his holy city.

David knew his people were still in sinAccording to Moses in Lev 26. God would not remember his covenant after he punished them UNTIL they repent.


They had not repented.


David even prayed what was supposed to be prayed (we have sinned, Our fathers sinned, On us was given the punishment

we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. 6 Moreover, we have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our princes, our fathers and all the people of the land.

7 “Righteousness belongs to You, O Lord, but to usopen shame, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those who are nearby and those who are far away in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of their unfaithful deeds which they have committed against You. 8 Open shame belongs to us, O Lord, to our kings, our princes and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. 9 To the Lord our God belong compassion and forgiveness, [d]for we have rebelled against Him; 10 nor have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His [e]teachings which He set before us through His servants the prophets. 11 Indeed all Israel has transgressed Your law and turned aside, not obeying Your voice; so the curse has been poured out on us, along with the oath which is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, for we have sinned against Him. 12 Thus He has confirmed His words which He had spoken against us and against our [f]rulers who ruled us, to bring on us great calamity; for under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what was done to Jerusalem. 13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this calamity has come on us; yet we have not sought the favor of the Lordour God by turning from our iniquity and giving attention to Your truth. 14 Therefore the Lordhaskept the calamity in store and brought it on us; for the Lord our God is righteous with respect to all His deeds which He has done, but we have not obeyed His voice.

Here is the context of Daniel 9, David repenting and saying a prayer for his people and his holy city..

Just as Moses prayed to God to not kill off his people when the nation sinned against God, asking God to remember his covenant, and show his love and mercy.

Daniel was praying for God to show the same lovingkindness to His people and His city. In spite of the refusal of his people to repent. To let his light shine on Jerusalem, To shine on the sanctuary. To make it so his people and his name is not a reprouch to the world....

Dan 9: Lord, in accordance with all Your [j]righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all those around us. 17 So now, our God, listen to the prayer of Your servant and to his supplications, and for [k]Your sake, O Lord, let Your face shine on Your desolate sanctuary.18 O my God, incline Your ear and hear! Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not [l]presenting our supplications before You on account of [m]any merits of our own, but on account of Your great compassion. 19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, O my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”

Here is the context of Daniel 9, And gabriels answer to Daniels prayer, ANY interpretation which does not fit this CONTEXT should be carefully scrutinized and done away with, because God did nto send Gabriel to answer daniels prayer OUTSIDE of this context. Daniel did not think so. Nor did any jew. In fact Jews today REFUSE to acknowledge daniel as even a part of the torah because according to them, the things prophesied did not come true (namely Messiah did not come at the end of the 69th week, nore did he set up his throne and defeat rome (according to the prophesies of Dan 2 and 7)

Also. Jesus did not die in the middle of the 70th week. The prophesy did not say this, No one confirmed a covenant with the many 3.5 years before his death, The language does not even fit. The hebrew word used “after 7 and 62 weeks” literally immediately following, or after these things occurs, Also the timeline does not fit (the time fits perfectly with the command to restor, and the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem as prophesied, on a donkey) .. Saying it occured 3.5 years later is again not goingn with language, or context.

3. Daniel 9 is not about God comming to save the world. This messiahs cricifiction And what it accomplished is not even in context or in meaning.. All it does was set an event so the people who this prophesy is written to can determin as a mark or place to say, Yes, this happened, and exactly when God said it would to prove God is the one true God (the purpose of prophesy) so any interpretation which uses the salvation of mankind as a means of interpretation, again, should be looked at carefully, and not followed. Because this is NOT what the prayer and answer to prayer is about.

4. The prayer is about the sin of Israel. Their refusal to repent. Daniels prayer of supplication. For the people and the city, And Gods answer to Daniels prayer. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Can you quote? Daniel has so many textual versions and so many translation possiblities, that people are rarely reading the same things.

I really hope this isnt true that there are so many textual versions we cant make heads or tails of it.

Dan 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Hard to say. I looked into some commentaries, but basically nobody knows what this means. Just speculations.
