Fundamental Issues:
1. "believe that people are inherently good"
Biblically, people are not inherently good.

Biblically, people aren't supposed to have faith in humanity, because humans are NOT inherently good... people are to have faith in God.

You sound like a very kind, sensitive, and well meaning person.
Those are all GREAT qualities to have.
And a lot of thing you said are genuinely good and kind things.
and we should all appreciate that.
But when we take our gifts, and our special strengths, and apply them in ways that are not strictly biblical, we can end up with all kinds of strange results... in spite of our good intentions.
That is the ROOT of the disagreement we're having.
It's not that anyone thinks you're a bad person, but rather, when a nice person applies their gifts in ways that aren't aligned with biblical principles, then strange results occur.

I know, people were always saying President Obama was the antichrist... LOL...
So a senator had his dinner interrupted.. by people that he or she is representing.. Is'nt that their job??? We only have our senators, Congressmen as OUR voice Washington. Oh and you forgot about Hillary's Slave sweatshop... The difference is that we don't go around planing bombs at trumps, celebrities, or anyone who speaks out against Trump. Now that is sick! We don't go around slaughtering Jews. Black people where they worship. (And I know slaughter could have been avoided) after the Charleston killings. We have had armed security at our church. Don't even try to draw a comparison to the democrats and what these deplorable people have done in the name of Trump.

I just want everyone to live in peace with one another. This is no longer "white America" It's only America. My daughter taught me this. She asked me why the English can call themselves English. The Spanish, Spanish. Irish, Irish. And she can't just say that she is American when I live in the best Country in the world. "And proud of it". She opened my Eyes.
