I've known about Darwin's particulars for awhile now. He inevitably comes up in BDF's on Christian sites as his theory of Evolution is in conflict with creation scriptures. However there is a study known as Creation Evolution, or Theistic Evolution. That puts God's divine power into the equation.
Darwin was always intrigued and to the day he died by the Cambrian Explosion. I think it was the one event he couldn't quite fathom.
True. Buried in Westminster Abbey's north aisle of the nave and not that far from Sir Robert Newton.
The President of the Royal Society made the suggestion that Charles Darwin and other notables should receive the honor.
People often think Charles Darwin was an atheist. He wasn't. He was an Agnostic.
That's what I get for posting this after getting off the phone with my cousin. It isn't Sir Robert Newton. Rather, Sir Isaac Newton.
"I'll have airhead for a moment, for $1000 Alex."

Yeah but what impressed me is that he was buried at one of the most prestigious Churches in the country. they buried him under the the church . did'n they? ( their special burial place)

I did look for that picture. It is linked to more information on WA. Just click on the pic and it will carry you there.
I wouldn't say under the whole church. He and other dignitaries are interred in the Nave of the church.
Here you go: Nave | Define Nave at Dictionary.com Nave definition, the principal longitudinal area of a church, extending from the main entrance or narthex to the chancel, usually flanked by aisles of less height and breadth: generally used only by the congregation.

See, this is what I have to live with, I had to go to the library or buy a book and read.. I had to remember all that I read,( did'nt have google.).. We did'nt have the luxury of pushing a button where ever we were. It was interesting stuff.

I'm old enough to remember if I had to make a call while away from the house or work, I hoped to find a pay phone close.
Technology today replaces so many of those things that made us stronger people. Now we're spoiled for being able to accomplish most anything with the push of a button or the swipe of a stripe.
I was on the road running errands this evening. The light at this busy intersection changed and my row started moving slowly because a girl who looked to be 17 or so walked across both directions of traffic. She didn't look up, didn't check to see if she had the right of way in the pedestrian path, she just walked. Because her focus was on the cell phone in her right hand. When someone tooted their horn to bring her out of it, she was barely phased . She could have been hit by oncoming traffic had someone been in the far right lane and unable to see her for the middle and left lanes of cars and big trucks obscuring her presence in the crosswalk ahead.
Remember rotary dial phones? Those are antiques today I expect. Today people text at high speed. But at one time, like in my grandparents day, phone numbers started with letters.
Wouldn't it be grand if our common sense evolved at the same pace as our technology?

I still try to rely on my common sense. Like you were talking about this incident, I know you were thinking , "what an idiot" . Our common sense dwarfs anything this person was thinking at that time. LOL.. I saw the funniest sign in front of this church. they have a different message every week. It said. " Honk if you love Jesus.. Text if you want to meet him"... That made me laugh...

I have that sane type bumper sticker on my car. I also have one that says, I wonder of clouds ever look down at us and say, hey look that one's shaped like an idiot.
I was thinking she was an idiot actually. Mind reader? Around here it is shocking to see how many people walk at night wearing dark clothes and in high traffic areas in the center city area. No flashlight. No reflective tape on their shoes or clothes.
There are huge areas of roads near housing areas where there are sidewalks and no streetlights. People walk the walks then cross where they will to the other side hoping headlights pick up their movement. It's illegal here to walk at night without a flashlight in those areas. People do it all the time. And sometimes you see road side crosses put up because that one time someone didn't make it when they played chicken with a car.
It's like that old saying, common sense ain't so common now days.

If a man asks a woman out? He should of course. A woman doesn't invite a man out on a date...she asks him over and usually cooks? Right? If it's just a social invite...go dutch.
