So, who put together the BLB? (Which scholars, committee, etc?) How long has it been out? Is it in print? I probably am going to stick with what I have. I'm busy studying systematic theology right now, it will be a while before I spend a lot of time in Greek again.
The Berean Bible Translation Committee is comprised of members of the Bible Hub and Discovery Bible teams. Advisory Editors Dr. Gary Hill, Dr. Grant Osborne, Dr. Eugene H. Merrill, Dr. Maury Robertson, Dr. Ulrik Sandborg-Petersen, Dr. Baruch Korman.
The Berean Bible employs the concept of an open translation where all sources (interlinear, literal, study) are documented and matched to the original text. The full translation tables are available in the download section of this site. We believe that this lends to an honest dialogue over translation issues, where the original text can be referenced and understood by all who wish to study. Input to the committee is also welcome at any time.
In the above sense, the translation committee is very large. The interlinear base text has been studied by a large portion of the millions of users of Bible Hub and the Discovery Bible. Many hundreds of readers have offered specific input, all of which is considered on a verse by verse basis. This support comes from a great number and diversity of contributors, including lay persons, pastors, teachers, seminarians, and professors. This open policy will be continued and enhanced as the Berean Bible becomes available on many platforms, and all feedback and recommendations will be appreciated at any time.

Genesis 1-9 (for the heart version, <3V)
In the beginning, God created the Garden of Edans to be so beautiful (flowers and everything)
, we should fall in love with God. However, Adam and Eve ate the bad fruit
and brought ugliness into the world. Years later, people were so bad that God feel sad about it. God have to hold back his tears for Noah to build a boat. Back then, no one believed that God feels sad about their sins, and were mean to Noah.
Noah ignored what mean people say to him. When Noah finished building the boat, God let his tears flow down his cheeks 
and flood the world. After the flood, God promised Noah with a rainbow to never drown the earth again.

It really is about preference. When I was in high school, I often read from the NIV and it was pretty readable for me. I tend to believe that the KJV is the more accurate and true to the original than many others though. The KJV is more a word for word translation over a thought for thought translation. The ESV is good too and I recently got that one and I like it so far. I reminds me of the King James Bible some but different phasing... There was one word I saw in the ESV that made me think of the KJV. When it comes to the poetry in the bible, such as the Psalms, you really can't get much more beautiful wording than either the King James Version or the New King James Version. That is my personal opinion on that.
