>>>it is not possible to be a born again Christian and be a democrat. <<<

Where is it in the Bible?
Seriously? Are you a democrat? and if you are, are you in favor of same sex marriages? The Bible isn't. Are you for abortion? The Bible isn't. Are you for illegal immigration? The Bible isn't . . . I could go on.

Anyone that is a democrat and against these things is either too old to be able to do anything about it or are voting for conservatives while retaining their label.

Would it be better had I said, "it is not possible to be a born again Christian and vote democrat?"

Do you believe God sent the flood in Noah's day? How about the Assyrians against the northern ten tribes of Israel? How about the Babylonians against Judah? How about the Romans in 70 A.D.?

Plenty of men, women, and children, died in those judgments sent by God. See (Is. 105-6)

Quantrill
Hitler was a world leader, there was no world leader causing the flood.

the assyrians, babylonians and romans did those things. their leaders were not handpicked by the Most High and placed in power, they were put in power by other evil people.

Yea, lol, right? You are the one that is pushing the envelope on this. It is a thread about corrupt democrats and you are insisting that both parties are equally corrupt because some republicans supposedly danced around with a chicken head (which you have not even come close to proving) . . . and then you started making these recent claims.

So yea, lol . . . whatever.

no i actually did give proof, you refuse to believe it because you thnk republicans are the party of Christians.
when your republicans bailed out the banks against the will of the people, people that were mostly Christian, it shows they actually work against Christians. but again you will always ignore these things. until you remove the plank from your own eye you will never see reality.

I'm done with you . . . you represent an anti-American sentiment that many of us find offensive. It is because of people like you that the Supreme court is well on its way to having a 7-2 conservative majority. It is because of the lefts hatred for the Constitutional form of government that elections are going red. Buh bye!

So what. You stated that God would not be killing innocent children. The flood killed many children.

How wrong you are. The Assyrians, Babylonians, and Romans were picked by God for the destruction they would cause. See (Rom. 13:1) "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

You are so ignorant of God. Se also, (Is. 10:5-6) "O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets."

And, (Dan. 4:25) "...till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whosoever he will."

Now what?

The flood was something different, everything had been corrupted by nephilim. Once this corruption took place I think they were not a child (as we know it) any more. Same thing that happened in canaan. All living things ordered to be destroyed, little extreme dont you think.
Your taking every atrocity committed on this planet and justifying it by trying to attribute it to the Most High.
Rom. 13:1 is not saying the Most High picks the leaders like Nero, Hitler and Stalin. I cant believe you would even think this.
The passage has to do with submitting to temple leadership.
Is. 10:5-6 says nothing of the Most High hand picking and placing those leaders in power.

7-2 majority . . .ok. if there was a 100% majority it still would make no difference, nothing would change, it never does.

Here is just one instance of the Lord putting leaders in power to punish His people:

Jeremiah 27:6 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

And Here is the person the LORD put into power killing kids:

2 Kings 25:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 Then they killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, put[a] out the eyes of Zedekiah, bound him with bronze fetters, and took him to Babylon.

Here are passages saying God put Pharoah in power. The same Pharoah that murdered the infant Jewish males:
Exodus 9:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.
Romans 9:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
17 For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”

These are just a few examples. So how can you say that God doesn't put the wicked in power?

great passages PE here are a few about what the Lord thinks of bad leaders:

Jeremiah 23:1-4
“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who care for my people: “You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord. Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord.

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.

Proverbs 16:12
It is an abomination to kings to do evil, for the throne is established by righteousness.

the Lord IMO despises evil leaders. you cant take a few passages about evil leaders and apply them to every evil leader in the history of mankind. whats the point of trying to do anything good if our Lord is always always always going to undue it all by sitting an evil leader over us?

No, the flood wasn't different. God took the lives of men, women and children.

No, Canaan wasn't extreme. Nor was God's judgment upon Israel by the Assyrians, Babylonians, and Romans. It was God. I don't need to try and justify it. It is what God did.

Actually (Rom. 13:1) says exactly that. No one comes to power unless God places them there. You don't like it...too bad.

(Is. 10:5-6) says that God uses the unbelieving nations to do His will just as He would a believing nation. In other words, it was Gods will that the Assyrian come and destroy His people, Israel. It was of God.

It is debatable whether or not God appoints ALL rulers, wicked or no. The verses you cite do not answer that question. These do a better job. And it appears He does:

Remember, Paul writes this during the rule of some pretty wicked Caesars!
Romans 13 New King James Version (NKJV)
Submit to Government
13 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist ARE APPOINTED BY GOD.

Many Christians will not accept the premise that a God of love destroys nations when they become decadent and degenerate.

“ ‘Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, even if these three men – Noah, Daniel and Job – were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness,’ declares the Sovereign Lord. . . . ‘Or if I bring a sword against that country and say, ‘Let the sword pass throughout the land,’ and I kill its men and their animals, as surely as I live,’ declares the Sovereign Lord, ‘even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved.’ ” (Ezekiel 14:13-18)

The flood was the Father fixing a problem, the Father did not cause the problem. This is the same in Canaan, they were to be exterminated for their evil ways. The Father didnt lead them (Canaan) in these evil ways.

its only the wicked rulers im concerned with. the verses i provided show that the Father does not care for wicked ruler ship. so why in the world would He contradict this by seeking out the most evil men and placing them in ruling positions

Many Christians will not accept the premise that a God of love destroys nations when they become decadent and degenerate.
i would never deny the Lord destroys evil, what i am saying is it was not the Lord that lead the evil people into dark ways to begin with.

So what? God killed millions of men, women and children. You're the one in post (#50) that said God would not do that. Yet you have been shown that God does do that. Now your are crawfishing. (means coward)

Of course, God was fixing a problem. I have no problem with that. You did. Now you change your story. Why? Because you have been shown that you are ignorant of God.

Post 50 is me saying the Lord does not torture and kill little kids.

The flood was the Lord cleansing the planet of corruption. All flesh was corrupt, remember that, apparently not. And the point you keep ignoring, who made them all corrupt in the first place, according to you it was the leaders put in place by the Lord.

So lets review. The Lord seeks out the most corrupt evil men, places them in power, they lead the people in evil ways, the Lord kills everyone for following the leaders that He Himself put in power in the first place?

Its mind boggling someone would actually believe such nonsense.

You're arguing with Scripture, not me. I showed you in Scripture.

The Lord puts in power who He wants. It doesn't matter who they are or what they are like. He does it to accomplish His will. Not yours and not theirs.

I didn't just give examples of the 'flood'. I gave you examples of Assyrian, and Babylon who raped and ripped the pregnant women up and killed unmercifully, men women and children. It too was a cleansing. Just like the flood. The point is, God did it. A point you refuse to believe.

It doesn't take much to boggle your mind.
