But now I'm curious where those threads are where people are taking songs as jokes. I'm not curious enough to go looking for them... but if I did happen upon them I would probably post some Wendy Bagwell songs. Or Mel Tillis songs. Or Ray Stevens songs.

What songs? What have I missed? Btw, I don't regret this thread, it has been fun reading. Boy do I know though, the regret of posting a post, lol. Where is that delete button, why can't we delete? Are our thoughts once made public, no longer ours, lol?
Yes, I have one too, but I derive pleasure in sharing my thoughts pondered, and reading the thoughts of others, too. For me, it is like a sweet connection of the mind, my almost favorite kind. I think my most favorite ,though, is a heartfelt connection with family and friends, even a stranger or two, but with those it seems the level of that kind of connection depends on the degree of transparency in the thoughts shared. So back to my point, I know in writing, it is only a one sided view, but with the reader we now have two. Hopefully, it is a bonding I so cherish. I believe it is a gift from God.

It was several days ago. It was just a weird coincidence. One said it was some kind of mean joke and I had to explain that it wasn't... the other (different person, different thread, different forum, different song) said my song wasn't funny and inappropriate. I had to explain how that one wasn't meant to be funny either. Its all water under the bridge now.. Both were old, slow songs.. one from the 70's, the other from the 80's.
