you do not have fear of hell if you have faith in Him

when love is perfected
it casts out fear

because fear has torment
and what love is dictated by torment

fear is the start of wisdom

but not the end of it


but a spec of doubt isnt the same as not having faith... just a sign we need to cling to Him in our weakness

I worked with one and he was always dancing like a fool around his milling machine waving his arms in the air.....one day at break he was boasting about a "church service" where they "GOT so BESIDES themselves" that the preacher forget to preach the word of God....I chimed in....well you obviously did not worship God then....and he got all puffed up and said what do you mean we did not worship God then....and I said......

God is Spirit, and they that worship him MUST worship him IN SPIRIT and IN TRUTH......the preaching of the WORD of GOD is the WORSHIP of GOD and if you got SO BESIDES YOURSELVES in your wild ANTICS and DID NOT have ANY proclamation of the word of GOD, YOU did not worship GOD.......

HE and I had numerous rounds and he RARELY used the word of GOD to actually prove his religion....and or used in out of CONTEXT........

1 Corinthians 12 to 14 defines the spiritual gifts and how to use them. Toungs is part of the discussion. Holy roller style is not mentioned. The big issue is if one speaks in toungs there must be one who understands. Keep in mind the first time it was done those speaking were talking in the language of visitors to the city.

Going back to the early elders they created the creeds. The creeds define what a Christian must believe. The elders at the time were dealing with many diverse differences of opinion about many issues. Therefore the issues are agree to disagree outside of creeds.

What I said, was that ANY TIME YOU THINK YOU FOUND A CONTRADICTION, YOU PERSONALLY HAVE MADE AN ERROR IN INTERPRETATION OF ONE OR BOTH VERSES. YOU HAVE TO SEARCH FOR AN ALTERNATIVE INTERPRETATION THAT FITS BOTH VERSES.
