I can only guess. It was the only day that allowed for the scapegoat to cover demonic sins and then the double cleansing by blood of the priests first, then for the congregation. Only then with everything covered could sinful man approach God's holiness (in the vail).

What do you suppose God is trying to teach us in each feast?

1. First day of unleavened bread.
2. Seventh day of unleavened bread.
3. Feast of weeks (Pentecost).
4. Feast of Trumpets.
5. Day of Atonement.
6. First day of Feast of Tabernacles (booths).
7. The Last Great Day (8th day of Tabernacles).

What is He teaching us? What He is doing and what He will do. 1 - 3 already fulfilled. The rest are yet future.

Trumpets - Return of Christ?
Atonement - Binding of Satan.
Tabernacles - Millennial rule.
Last Day - Great White Throne Judgment.

I agree with you, it has to be something about only with the blood of Jesus and only Jesus as High Priest can man approach God behind the veil. Jesus is the only Way to the Father and He ripped the veil.

I didn't even have to look them up. you can tell I have studied these.Yes, the Jews called the whole week Passover. I gave the biblical names. Interesting: the wave sheaf day was not a feast but pictured something Christ did. They claim it was the resurrection. But it was the first ascension instead. My second book covers all that.

How come this chart does not picture the Last Great Day. It wasn't named in Leviticus but we get the name from other places. It was outlined in Lev. 23:36 (the eight day).

Once a year.. Someone already revealed that it was on the day of Atonement.. But i will give an answer to the second part..

Once our sins are atoned for and we are perfected then we shall be allowed to enter into Gods perfect eternal existence and be with Him.. The Temple inner room that was ligned with pure gold was symbolic of Gods eternal throne in heaven and so the priest who entered into the room is symbolic of humans entering into the presence of God because they have had all their transgressions washed away by the Blood of the LORD Jesus Christ..

Because Passover is on the day before the first day of unleavened bread then it is a preparation day and you have to prepare on that day for the next day and as such do some work.. The passover day requiored the Jews to slaughter a lamb and prepare it for eating.. On feast days no work was to be done..

To me, the Passover has several significant aspects.

1 - the father had to slay a male lamb (Did it have to be a "firstborn" male lamb?)
2 - the blood of the lamb is drained and applied to the doorposts of dwelling
3 - houses with blood the firstborn male lives; houses without blood the firstborn male dies
4 - the lamb was to be eaten in haste with shoes on and ready to go
5 - no one left Egypt until AFTER the angel of death passed over the land and killed firstborn males without blood

I love pondering and "chewing the cudd" of God's Word - there's so much there - there's no end to what can be gleaned. Just an abundance of spiritual food - daily manna from Heaven. I love Him!

Here is an interesting addendum. The Jews started calling The Feast day (15th) Passover and the Passover day as the preparation day (preparing the lamb and removing leavening from their homes). Later they referred to the whole week as Passover. As history progressed their calendars started showing Passover on the 15th instead of the 14th.

Question: What day of the week does the wave sheaf offering always fall on.

Lev. 23:39 "Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath."

Neh. 8:17, 18 "And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness. Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner."

It is even mentioned in the New Testament:

John 7:2 "Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand."

John 7:37 "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink."

It appears your chart tries to make the wave sheaf day a feast, it was not.

No, your one is not a holiday (Feast). The day after is the no servile work (convocation) day. Your number three (wave sheaf day) is not a Feast. It was always observed on the next day after the weekly Sabbath after 1 day of Unleavened. An excerpt follows:

We have another important day—not actually a holiday—that pictures Christ’s first ascension to heaven. It is called the wave sheaf.

“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: On the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.” (Lev. 23:9–11)

A sheaf is a bundle of grain stalks with the grain attached. God is speaking of the annual Sabbath, the seventh day after Passover. This does not represent the resurrection, but rather the first ascension of Christ. He represents the first fruits of God’s harvest of souls from earth.

2. Last (7th) Day of Unleavened Bread.
