Actually I think grace and works do relate or correlate.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Saved by faith through faith to do works prepared in advance of being saved.

I believe his quote was in reference to blending the two for or to keep salvation......

I have never found a Church in the MAINLINE DENOMINATIONS, that did not agree on the Central Core Beliefs of the Christian Church. Yes we disagree on the minor core of beliefs, but we agree on the MAJOR CORE OF BELIEFS. Now when you teach a different GOSPEL, I do not even count you in the Mainline Denominations.

I've read the Apocrypha, Jimmy Swaggart, Hal Lindsey, Walter Martin, N. V. Peal, D. L. Moody and others. While I found them interesting they are not the real gospel of Jesus our lord and Christ @benhur go peddle your books elsewhere please and leave Bible study to the bible readers.

You all hold the fort down for me....be boarding QF 9 from Sydney to Dallas in about 35 min....15 hour flight from Sydney to Dallas and then 1.5 or so from Dallas to St. Louis......will be out of sorts for at least 16 hours or so.....keep swinging and keep preaching the one true way...by grace through faith with no strings, works, hoop jumping needed for biblical salvation haha

Works and grace can not mix (for salvation) period. If you think they can, you do not understand grace.

Verse 10 makes it clear that we are saved FOR good works and NOT BY good works.

You are right, but good works we must do. If we are saved unto good works, but do not those works that we were saved to do, then the consequence of our laziness, or our bad learning, or our falling away completely, will leave us outside of EL with God.
