The inspired scriptures prove themselves, I do not study from any other source such as man's false interpretations. If you are a bible scholar then quote me scripture proof by your thoughts and not trust in outside sources.
The link is about the verse you are asking me about . . . I'm not going to retype what is already available. Ignore it if you wish. I don't care.

Those that he did die for were forgiven for "ALL" of their sins.
Just for a few huh?

Too bad you don't believe in the God that is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance . . . you know . . . the whosoever of John 3:16?

Of course all will not be saved . . . but that is their choice - not God's.

Your faith is not the cause of your eternal salvation, but the evidence that you already have eternal salvation. Faith is a fruit of the Spirit and if we have faith, then we are already born of the Spirit.
Jesus Christ and His finished work of redemption is the actual cause or means of our eternal salvation. Faith in Christ is the instrumental means by which we receive the free gift of eternal life.

Amen

For it is BY GRACE we have been saved THROUGH FAITH.

No faith.No salvation, period.

As for the op. I can;t answer. Salvation is more than mere belief, as James said..

The answer is the narrow was is pur faith in What Christ did. What he promised. And what he says..

The doing comes AFTER you entered the gate.

If we put any requirement for man to do, such as, our faith, our believing, our confession, our repentance, our acceptance etc. then eternal salvation would not be by grace. It would be by works.
From faith to faith it is written, the just shall live by faith.

He that believes on the son is having everlasting life.

Jesus to the woman->>THY FAITH HAS SAVED THEE.........

So I voted 'other'. I reckon being led by the Holy Spirit and obedience to that lead is the 'narrow gate'. This is utterly based on one's personal relationship with the Lamb of God; Person to person. The Bible has an array of 'exceptions to the rules'. The walls of Jericho, etc.
Being led by the Holy Spirit may mean breaking rules, disregarding instincts, acting in obedience, regardless of tradition, regardless of rituals and others' opinions.

Mat 7:13-14, “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

a. The Narrow Path is believeing in Yahshua/Jesus and what He did.

b. The Narrow Path is doing what Yahshua/Jesus taught.

c. The Narrow Path is believeing in Him and doing what He taught.

d .Other (please explain)
The narrow path is life without sin.

Greetings Shamah,

Everyone who comes into the world is initially on the broad road to destruction. The only way to get off of that road is by having faith in Christ as the One who provided salvation for us. Faith in Christ is the small gate and narrow road, which means that Christ is that small gate and no one will be able to enter in through that gate without faith in Him.

No one has to do anything to get on that broad road, because they are already on it and if they die in that state, it ultimately leads to destruction i.e. complete loss of well being, ruination.

I enjoyed this reply very meuch.

If Yahshua/Jesus is the door:

John 10:9, “I am the door. Whoever enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and find pasture.”

door” is word #2374 - thura: a door
Original Word: θύρα, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: thura
Phonetic Spelling: (thoo'-rah)
Short Definition: a door, opportunity
Definition: (a) a door, (b) met: an opportunity.

And we must enter through Him to be saved, then this would show the "path/gate" or "narrow path/gate" is something different than the door; I believe the gate/path ould be His teachings, what you walk after entering the door, or to get to the door however one looks at it.

Mat 7:13-14, “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

gate” is word # 4439 - pulé: a gate
Original Word: πύλη, ης, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: pulé
Phonetic Spelling: (poo'-lay)
Short Definition: a door, gate
Definition: a gate.

I think what He taught agrees with this .

Mat 7:24-27, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the rock, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not do them, shall be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and great was its fall.”

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."
Amen!

This verse is being stated in context to what was previously stated; the Law and the Prophets.

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(Mat 7:11-14 KJV)

Because GOD our Father which is in Heaven gives good things to them that ask HIM. Whatever we would have men do unto us we do unto them for this is the Law and the Prophets; the Straight Gate and Narrow Way.

HOWEVER

Search the Holy Writ; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
(Joh 5:39)

I am the gate: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
(Joh 10:9)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(Joh 14:6 KJV)

No one and i Mean NO ONE does what Jesus taught without failure..
If that is the Narrow way then No One is going to successfully negotiate it...

It's an incredible self delusion to think you can do what Jesus taught perfectly without failure..

The Narrow Way is to believe Jesus and to trust in the Way He has secured for us to be Redeemed.. And that is by trusting in the atonement He secured for us by His death and resurrection on the cross... That is the Way of salvation and there is no other..

When Paul was confronted by the Jews in the temple while he was taking a vow with others he was recognized and attacked. He was allowed by Roman soldiers to speak to them but his testimony was violently rejected. So the Romans held him until he was presented before the Jewish council. Here is the beginning of his defense.

Acts 23:1 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

Making this statement was in effect saying that he had never done anything WRONG which to the Jews was blasphemous and prompted Annas to order Paul slapped on the mouth.

Paul repeated this statement to Felix, the Roman governor of Judea at the time, when he was being formally accused of committing crimes.

Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: 15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be* a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. 16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.

Paul was claiming that he DID NOT SIN!

It is sad that today so man of the doctrines of the various denominations are so defeatist in nature. If you live by them you will be a failure in life. God does not call people to be failures. He calls them to be OVERCOMERS!

If that was the case, then nobody would be on the narrow path (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8-10).
You believe that there is sin on the narrow path?

Jesus said that was the other path
the one you are familiar with.

you're doing it because of what flesh and blood said, and as though a challenge for yourself to measure up to -- you've already failed :(

when you have never walked it?

You are not me and I am not you.

Can you walk your own talk?

That is your starting point.
When you walk your own talk then you can tell others how to do it.
