So how much obedience does it take? Where do you draw the line in the sand and say that you were "obedient enough" so now you will go to heaven? How many of us are "perfectly" obedient?

What were His instructions on receiving eternal life?
John 3:15 - that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who
believes in Him is not condemned; but he who
does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that
everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
John 10:9 - I am the door.
If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
The gate to heaven is “narrow” in the sense of having a particular requirement for entrance --
faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is found only in the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way (John 14:6). The “wide” gate allows for human effort and all other of the world’s religions that teach salvation by works.
