Benhur consistently refuses to accept the true gospel, and he consistently misinterprets scripture to support his false belief. Everyone has shown him the correct interpretations but he turns a blind eye because again his false belief will not allow his mind to accept anything contrary. A pity because he will die in his sin, lest he should stop believing a lie and come to Christ. As you say, it is "PRIDE" the original sin in the garden.

Salvation, justification, sealed by the Holy Spirit, sanctified positionally in Christ by faith and eternal life are ALL INSTANTLY GIVEN at the moment of genuine faith.....they also have present continuing results from a past COMPLETED ACTION...

Salvation is a GIFT and the bible is clear....the GIFTS OF GOD ARE IRREVOCABLE!!

Amen....premptive......when they were crucifying Jesus and he said Father forgive them they know not what they do....had they asked for forgiveness or apologized? Or what about when Stephen was being stoned to death did they ask or apologize....nope.....GOD'S grace is preemptive and we are forgiven in Christ....not that we will not be whipped as in chastisment, but we will be forgiven because ALL OF OUR SINS have been taken and nailed to the cross in Christ and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS has been inputed by faith to our account........no watch all the things be attributed to what I said....things I did not say!

I think it's sadder that some think the lords work won't get done without them. Like they are so important to the work that the lord will fail without their help. Conceit, they should feel blessed that the lord let's them help.

A lie is information that is given to "deceive" which is the person who is listening to you. In your case you are deceiving the entire forum. You are lying to all of us about "what church you are affiliated with", because your intention is to deceive the entire forum. By not telling us what church you are affiliated with you are living a lie because you are deceiving those who are reading your post.

"Repentant Process Really?" You see there you are trying to manipulate and deceive already, its become a bad habit for you. You are being deceptive about your church affiliation because it may not look good for you.

Go tell someone who believes you, and that will not be me.
 
Sometimes I find people that supposedly have read the bible confused and wonder if they have some kind of cognitive dysfunction or lack of comprehension to go through all of the mental gymnastics to justify their position on works = salvation. It's all nonsense otherwise the Bible would be written like that. the numbers to verses were added later because the word is so vast and broad in spectrum the numbers are just to make it easier to look things up.

Each and every verse is not separate or autonomous to itself but it is a small part of a big picture. I'd tend to be more understanding if we were dealing with illiterate people but we are not. These folks have computers and know how to read.:unsure::cry::rolleyes:

how i feel about this, is that i know He says do to others as you would have done to you, and He says love one another as He has loved me. He says if i don't forgive others, the Father will not forgive me.

i would that others would forgive me before i ask it, and even if i don't.
He died for me without my asking Him to, and forgave even what i never asked.
while i was His enemy, He absolved me.

so i do the math :)
