How many camels are you willing to swallow to make a dream come true?

I hope you're referring to cigarettes.
We have a saying here.... I thought it was universal. It means to compromise to get something you want.

I have to become a member of the Lutheran church again if I want to get married by the vicar friend of mine there. I left the church because of that the same vicar and most of that church also embrace gay marriages.

With that scenario, you'd be better off with the cigarettes.

Annoyed that you had to scoot for someone to squeze past or annoying to have to open the door for a woman?
Feminism is one of the most evil things to ever be visited upon humankind?

Is there any other church that will do weddings? Or do any couples wanting to be married have to become Lutheran?

The reason I ask is I get the impression the Lutheran church is THE church in that area. I was wondering if it was the ONLY church or if there were alternatives.

That IS a good question!

There are some things to consider here. Yes. The Lutheran church is the only church here. There are some small congregations that are Pentecostal but they haven't the right to officiate the wedding and it is not wheelchair accessible.

A factor here is also that the vicar is a friend of mine, and she expected to be the one officiating it.

The solution we came up with is that I become a member for 6 months or so. We can anyway go there for Christmas and Easter. The sermon will be held by the pastor streaming from his church as the vicar here is not comfortable with holding the service in English.

The wedding will be streamed for our online friends to follow.

Of course we could do it at the townhall... but that is not the same, is it?

Just a word of warning, check the sound on the live stream beforehand. When AlaynaJ (one of our Moderators) got married she had the wedding live streamed and didn't find out until after the fact that the sound on the live stream was almost non-existent.

Is that a question?

And is that a question you are too polite to ask?
No sister as is obvious that is a typing mistake. Again: 60 million babies murdered before they had the chance to fight for their lives; "no-fault" divorce strait from Lenin's doctorine and language fought into being by feminists and sinners, leading to some suffering (by their victims mostly men and children, church, society) beyond what mankind has ever suffered before. As demonstrated by scientific studies linking "divorce for whatever reason I feel like," sexual immorality, broken families, the hatred of babies, men, families to all manor of mental, social, and societal ills - which covers too much ground to mention but a few: school shootings; suicide, rape, crime, hate crime, addiction, etc

All so that some Femi-Nazi's, often posing as Christians, can continue to destroy their families, hate and blame men for all thing- especially the things they do, kill babies, and throw all of creation onto the fire of their demon goddesses while 'THe Church' for the most part worships and praises them for it, if not only appeases them so their wives (Pastors, leaders) will not divorce them.

If these sins and problems are all the result of modern feminism, why are so many of them mentioned in ancient writings like the Bible? That was long before the feminism we know today.

Because the devil wears many hats - humans, in forms like: Communism, Socialism, feminism, The Druids, The Illuminati, Gnosticism, New Age, Free-Love-Movements, Humanism....

Those who wish to keep their and justify their sins, power, pleasures as provided by these various vehicles do so by sinning against God and His Word, people, under the umbrella just another idol empowered by that idol's devils.

Places like where I live - The Philippines, idols like feminism do not exist. People commit the same sins, acknowledge it, know they are doing wrong, perhaps do it anyway.

In the "Civilized" world people create idols and entire, satanic ideologies - like feminism - to not feel bad about their sins but instead destroy their conscience, replacing truth with lies and preaching those lies - "Calling good evil and evil good" as the Bible teaches people will in the last days.

I will take the honesty of the Third World over the dishonest, arrogant idols and demons of "civilized" people

I know it's impolite, but sometimes a question occurred in my mind: Do Christians have a brain?
