Yes, having abundant life doesn’t automatically mean being rich.

Look at some of the famous missionaries.
Hudson Taylor for example who worked in China,
He put all his all into being a missionary and definately multipled
as seed was sown spreading the gospel. Yet he still had to live in a
fallen world, his wife died at 33, most of his children died young but like
Abraham, he made a massive impact which still is having an impact in
the world today.

I often think these missionaries of old have a lot to teach us but
not many even seem to have read about them or know of them
any more.

They knew multiplication and what it was to live an abundant life.
There are even people on here on CC who do or have done amazing
things, wonderful acts of kindness who have been a blessing.

One person on here lives an amazing abundant life despite
personal health issues. I don’t think she even realises it!
Chaplain work, FB mental health groups, various other groups etc.

Another person got a work team together to help out a member.

Another helped men caught up in problems.

I’m sure there are many more too, though I doubt you would call them
millionaires!

Think about it, if God made you a millionaire, what would you do with it.
Would it change you and in what way. Would you still rely on God for
everything. How would it affect your relationship with Christ.

Look at Job he had everything, lost everything, then gained it all back and
more. Throughout it all he remained faithful and put God first he never
neglected God. Could you say the same if you suddenly gained material
wealth. If the answer is no, then material wealth would not be a blessing
to you, it would be a curse and you would not live an abundant life.
The man who tore down his barns to build bigger barns was only thinking
of himself. His wealth was not a blessing it led to his destruction.

God will never give us more than we can handle and that includes wealth.

If we are elect. Other ones get many things they cannot handle and lose their faith.

Also, the verse is about temptations. So you are basically saying that wealth is a temptation.

I was asked in another forum; "how much does a believer need to have, to be materially rich?"

My answer is : zero mount. Anyone in Christ Jesus is super rich (including materially) even with zero account balance on earth.

And my text for that definition is Revelation 2: 9

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

I just wanted to know your take on this...

25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

I hear one say, because our father have more than 1000 trillion trillion trillion dollar, His child must have billion each.

So as Christian we must billioner.

I am a Christian and not billioner and non of member in my church is. Why? Because Jesus love us. He make us poor in matery to make easier to go to heaven.

If God let one to be billioner, base the verse above, It mean God let that man face dificulty to go to heaven.

Unfortunatelly some time I hear a testimony how one Happy and he think God bless him with a good job that make him billioner.

So he is in to the situation where very dificul to enter to heaven but he fell bless

He is in the situation where is more dificul for camel go to the eye of the niddle.

Yes He is smaller than camel, but to go to the eye of the nidle, even the smallest part of
his finger I guaranty not going to make It.

I have yet to see money rain down from heaven.;)

I can think several ways to have money....... work, investments, inherit, as a benefactor or steal, all of them take some form of human action.

Neither am I saying money rains from heaven. The Lord says he will bless the works of our hands. And he also says if we give, men will give to us back in multiplied fold. We don't need to cajole the men to give us but according to God's word, men will give to us as we give.

The money doesn't have to rain from heaven.

I dont know how you read/ understand the bible, but this vers says nothing about that the christians during the last 2000 years till today will be material rich. Revealation 5, 12 is telling that the Lord is worthy to take all what is mentioned in this vers.
Look into the world and in the history of the church. Tell the christians which are starving in the world slums that God want that the will be material rich. You theologie bases on human mind, but not on the word of God.
You are deceiving believers with your wrong preachings and give them a false promise.

Since you asked for "my take", here it is: You're misinterpreting that verse and mis-applying it as well. There is not enough in that verse to assert with certainty that either "poverty" or "rich" refer to material wealth.

Having nothing is fundamentally inconsistent with being materially rich. You're twisting the meaning of terms in your attempt to support your position. Actually having nothing and declaring oneself to be materially rich is self-deception. Telling those who actually have nothing that they are materially wealthy is lying.
