The longer you're off on vacation the harder it is to go back to work. When I'm at work I usually have three things on my mind.

1. When is my next day off.
2. When is my next vacation.
3. When do I retire. :giggle:

Speaking of retirement, I have 3 years, 8 months, 15 days, 16 hours, 31 minutes and 12 seconds to go. Not that I'm counting. LOL

My hubby is retiring the end of this month ... then we are moving my 90 yr old mom in with us the end of October , Im gonna go from daytime solitude to ... well ... not sure what lol

Let no one deceive you folks. Salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9). (y)

To believe anything else is to miss salvation.
Correct as far as you went. Unsing James 2 I will complete the sequence.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Faith without works is dead. Works doesn't save but the absence of works means no real faith in Jesus. Jesus said by their fruits (works) you shall know them. He told us how to seperate the sheep from the wolves in sheep's clothing.

Happy is the mailman that is RETIRED. I SURE AM!
I have run into a handful of letter carriers from the Post Office where I work after they retired over the last few years and they ALL have no regrets and look happier than I have ever seen them! One such letter carrier who I NEVER once saw smile at work was all smiles when I ran into him after he retired. One of the other letter carriers said they felt like they "had just been paroled" after they retired and yet another said, "life is so much better outside those prison walls!" :giggle:

In a nutshell, man is saved through faith and not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9); yet genuine faith is vindicated, substantiated, evidenced by works (James 2:14-24).

Christ saves us through faith based on the merits of His finished work of redemption "alone" and not based on the merits of our works.

It is through faith "in Christ alone" (and not by the merits of our works) that we are justified on account of Christ (Romans 3:24; 5:1; 5:9); yet the faith that justifies is never alone (solitary, unfruitful, barren) if it is genuine (James 2:14-24). *Perfect Harmony* (y)

I was just looking at your words. You have me mixed up with another poster. I am 73 and was baptized at 6. I grew up in the faith and never knew another way. I have been an elder and deacon in 3 Reformed theology churches. Moved twice. Getting ready to move again next year so who knows I might be an officer in the new church.

So your first paragraph which states Jesus came to COMPLETE the law..means it was INCOMPLETE to begim with..OR "fufillment" of the law..

But..interesting LAST paragraph..hmmm
The first part is a quote from Jesus. The second part is the definition of sin. It becomes obvious either you are very new to Christianity or you are a wolf in sheep's clothing. Are you a Christian ignorant of the faith or the wolf.
Let no one deceive you folks. Salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9). (y)

You and others ignore the role that works plays. Jesus said by their fruits (works) you shall know them. This is how we discern the wolves in sheep's clothing. Here is James on the subject. Why do so many ignore this scripture about the place works has. The concept is works defines faith. No works no faith. James uses deeds for works.

James 2 NIV
Faith and Deeds
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

I just don't think you understand James 2 at all , and if you do not understand James 2 , then what else do you not understand...

Wow. Well, I am not much of a political person, and I did try to keep what I said to the simplest basic minimum because I could have gone on and on and then you would have really been lost:giggle:I will go on a bit more though (LOL!) Basically, what is involved is first spending hours and hours looking for single solitary images to use in a creation with other elements. For instance, unicorns: okay, I did have a file folder with a hundred or more horses, unicorns, and pagasuses and now I cannot find them. This just gets worse and worse... all my other image specific folders are missing also :censored::cry:
I began to get interested in politics when they affected my education and finances, otherwise I haven't given a rats tail since Nixon got away.

At 73 I retired quite a while ago. I worked for a telemetry company. (measurement at a distance) The company sold systems all over the country and world. I was in customer support the last 32 years. That had me traveling around the country and world installing, repairing, and teaching the systems. My mother-in-law gave me a plaque that I treasured since it had a picture of a sailing ship with the words "When my ship comes in I will be at the airport". At first it was fun traveling but after a year I was tired of flying somewhere renting a car and motel room and going to the customers site to work. My American Express card usually had over $1000 on it and one 2 month trip had over $10,000 on it. Got tired of receipts, exchange rates, and filling out expense reports. At first we were allowed a meal allowance but then we were forced to have a receipt for meals. More papers to keep track of. The problem was at a couple of customers sites they would take orders from a menu and we would give them the money and no receipt. Accounting demanded receipts. Got good at faking them and tired of doing it. Don't miss it at all!!!

I have been interested in politics a couple of times in my life: the first was when Pierre Elliot Trudeau was coming to power in Canada (I was about 12 or 13), and again during your presidential election of 2016. Heh, what a pot boiler that was. Interesting times we live in!

Okay, I finally found my images, not where I expected them to be which is where I had put them :p I have 269 images in my equus folder :D They are single, solitary images of equines with no background. When I find one online that I like, I save it to my equus folder, and when I want to use it in an image/template I am working on/creating, I have to resize it, colour (and possibly contrast) adjust it, and see how it works with other elements I am adding to the file. I usually start with a border and background and work in from that, adding various elements as I go along, like flowers, butterflies, ribbons, and/or other girlie stuff haha. Selecting and positioning the font can be especially persnickety. It is a very engrossing endeavor; I have made quite a few to showcase some particular verse of Scripture :)

I just watched a bunch of movies about that. The politics of my youth really interests me now... all this stuff was going on in the world, but me, a teenager at the time, was largely oblivious to it :giggle: The sixties sure had a lot of issues!

Where did you come up with 46 years a Christian? I have posted several times I'm 73 and grew up in the faith. Was baptized at 6 by immersion. They refused to baptize me until after a lengthy question and answer session where they tried to trip me up. I have been a Christian as long as I can remember. Never knew anything else. Have looked around at other religions and reject them. Too much science on the side of Christianity. Koran for example tells about only 1 city and archaeological digs proved it false. Archaeological multitudinous digs on the other hand prove the Bible as factual. Sodom and Jericho digs prove the Biblical miracles. As an expert in electronics and computers scientific facts mean a lot to me. Phylosophical arguments leave me scratching my head.

Yea Trump. LOl
I have had to work with images off and on adjusting color and size. At times I had to go pixel by pixel in portions of the image. Such fun.

I have worked pixel by pixel also. LOL. Yes, such fun to be had heehee. Well, I work with images for a living, and have my whole adult life (photofinishing). Much has gone digital in his new millennium, and really changed the industry and how we do things, but also made imaging more accessible to the common person (that's me! :)). I am fortunate to still have a job; many were downsized and shown the door as the business was changing.

Well....I am still held firmly by the Son of God, his promises ring true and his power never fails.....unlike the god the workers for and Cainologists worship....they must assist him in their salvation.....tragically their gospel is void of power to save....MANY COME BEFORE Jesus boasting of their knowledge of him, their claim of him being Lord and their right to enter based upon all the wonderful works done in his name....the same dogma peddled by the Cainlologists, law keepers and workers for....no dice folks...and their gospel is a losing hand!

These Verses seem to describe them all:

2 Timothy 3:5-7 (NKJV)
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Matthew 7:21-23 (NKJV)
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

In my opinion, I think they have Trusted in themselves for part of their Salvation, and thereby have definitely bypassed establishing a deep heart filled personal relationship when HIM, trusting in HIM TOTALLY.

I personally think one will have to TOTALLY TRUST HIM FOR ALL OF YOUR SALVATION, thereby inheriting HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
6 being confident of this, that HE who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

That does not negate Showing our LOVE for HIM by our Loving Obedience, which we could NOT DO if HE had NOT ALREADY SAVED US, as a Gift of GOD.

I have neither the patience or interest to go pixel by pixel. I earned a living for years with an N65 & 75 now an amateur can do better faster with a $150.00 digital, and a lap top:(
