Lately, I have been all wrapped up, digging in, exploring, and pondering stuff. Learning feeds my soul. I can easily become consumed in a matter, searching things out ignites a passion. You see, time and circumstance has brought me to a place of solitude. This unencumbered condition is not uncomfortable most of the time. It seems to suit me...well, most days. I have my all a-lonely, bless my heart, times too, like I'm sure many, bless their hearts, do. My freedom, however, allows me to indulge in the explorations that tickle my mind. So yeah, I usually enjoy my humble and peaceful table for one life. I can get lost, though. I take it to extremes; if I am not careful and intentional, isolation creeps in.
Today, was different. I took a wee walk with one of my fluffy muffy pillows of a dog. I then spent a couple hours in the company of two freshly living ppl, lol, my grandchildren. It was brief, but their impact on my heart refreshes and rests my soul at the same time. I was also gifted some sacred moments with their amazing Mama, my youngest daughter, Tana Bear. We visited and giggled. As I was observing her, I was filled with delight in the person she chooses to be. She, like her sissy, is so beautiful. She has so many pleasing personality traits that makes time in her company quite easy and enjoyable. We laugh a lot. I got to thinking as I was with her and ours, "wow, I get to be theirs and they get to be mine". I often ponder this truth, all throughout my senses, when spending time with my loves.
It isn't until I connect with people offline, hugging them, laughing with them, working with them, touching and talking with them, face to face, watching their expressions and the uniqueness of their souls do I realize the preciousness of another. Even feeling the air touch my skin as I walk in nature brings to my awareness the importance of finding balance with mind, body, and soul.
Yes, I can get lost in learning, in writing and reading; seclusion has its place. Yes, I feel blessed finding these independent and simple thrills. Yes, getting lost has its rewards but finding my way back brings the sweet journey home.
Thank You Jesus...♡
