I did come back after speaking with my pastor, regarding the sin of adultery and I did say that my pastor said I was guilty. The reason being is, lust is a permanent part of our fallen nature so all we need to do is look at a woman for a second and your pre existing condition automatically responds by committing adultery.

We are all murderers and adulterers by our fallen nature, we always try to resist the temptation to act on them but we lose the battle sometimes. It only takes one thought of hatred or lust and we have committed the actual sin without physically doing them.

So our problem is with our identity, we are fallen sinners living in corrupt bodies of death. We continue to struggle against our flesh until we die and receive our perfect glorified sinless bodies.
This scripture helps

John 4:4 King James Version (KJV)
"4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

Thank you for affirming what I've been saying all along, salvation is of the Lord. It has nothing to do with us, so the saved can never lose their salvation because the Lord never fails thank you :) but you seem to have contradicted yourself here so hmmm sus!
Nothing to do with US? The plan of salvation has EVERYTHING to do with us . ;)

Jesus also said, blessed are they that believe having never seen or heard Him speak. His word it alive and eternal, it speaks to us today just as powerfully as it did to all the previous generations.

God's Word is a living thing, He has given one message to mankind and that message is alive and powerful. He did speak directly to some men, He gave them a special mission but God completed the mission on the cross and He ceased speaking when Jesus said "it is finished".

We will never fully understand what God has already said, one lifetime is not enough to unpack everything so we don't need to hear anymore. His Word applies to everybody's life, no matter what stage of their life journey they are at. The problem we all have is disobedience, none of us obey His Word and that's why we suffer loss.
AMEN ;)

If you believe that then you have been deceived by the doctrines of Demons, if you think God casts sinners into hell to be tormented in hell fire for all eternity love then I rest my case.

I can't believe you guys can come up with such heresy, unless you have been indoctrinated with the doctrine of Demons. How can you just ignore all of those many scriptures which speak about Gods hatred towards certain people.

Those who preach on the love of God and never talk about His hatred, are serving Satan. They are giving people the wrong message about who God is, God is love but He is also hatred. Go and study the whole Bible, don't just pluck out all the verses which speak about His love. Go and learn about His hatred and judgement of sinners.
Again..we keep saying and posting scripture..God loves ALL MANKIND..Jesus DIED for ALL MANKIND. BECAUSE if God passionate love for us that ALL WOULD ACCEPT Him as Lord and Savior of thier lives BEFORE the day of judgement when it will be too late and Yes..some He loves and died for WILL go to hell..not because GOD wants that..but because of the choices of mankind NOT TO ACCEPT JESUS..

Jesus said, "it is finished" on the cross and God didn't need to speak anymore. Christ returned to His disciples after his resurrection and He told John what to write in the book of revelation and that was the end of Gods communication with mankind. He has not spoken a word to us since and there's no need to, His Word is alive and just as powerful today as it ever was.

As for your first point, I rebuke you for trying to make my God look like a cruel tyrant. God has every right to choose some for salvation and leave others in their sin. The bible is clear that predestination and election are true, this free choice movement is straight from the pits of hell. It's the doctrine of Demons.
When Jesus said "it is finished" meant he was "giving up" his spirit and died..not that He would never speak to mankind again .

John 19:28-30 New King James Version (NKJV)
It Is Finished
28 After this, Jesus, [a]knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit

And you obviously know nothing of prayer and the power it holds

Rebuke me all you want..I have shown you scriptures that back up my belief..it's YOUR choice not to believe scripture..lol

@Slayer..I feel you are acting like a dog that's been pushed in a corner and lashing and trying to fight his way out..

From what little I know of you..I commend that you go to your pastor for insight but a lot of churches teach THIER WAY IS THE ONLY WAY..there are many in here that can be learned from and have some good insight..some that have studied for years and have experienced how God has worked through thier lives..please humble yourself a bit..be open to other people and Hearing what insight God has put in thier Spirit..maybe God is trying to "speak" something into your life by another CC member but you refuse to listen..not 1 of us can EVER say we KNOW ALL about God..the Bible etc..so we are all on this journey together .please embrace it ?

Please give me SPECIFIC scriptures that God is "hatred" MY BIBLE says..God is JUST..God is PATIENT..God is LOVE..God OMNIPOTENT..God is WISE..God is SOVERIGN...etc

NO WHERE in my Bible does it say God is HATRED...

You CANT hate the same people that God sent his only son to DIE for..contradiction..

If you think God can claim to be a god of love and just for no reason cast his creation to hell without giving them a chance, I rest my case that your God is not the God of the Bible.

As Jesus said to the children of Isreal. Oh Jerusalem Jerusalem, How ofted I WANTED to take you under my wing as a mother hen, BUT YOU WERE UNWILLING)

The people who will be cast to hell, were unwilling, To recieve His grace gift.

Dude, if you want to discuss the word discuss it. But if your going to come off with all these attack words which lends nothing to the conversation I will have to ignore you like I had a few of your calvinist friends who did not know how to have a conversation with anyone, and just attacked anyone who disagreed with them.
As a Calvinist I agree with you. The Arminians also have their 5 points of Arminianism and back it up with scripture. The Apostles Creed was created by the early elders to define what a Christian must believe. Anything outside of it was and is to agree to disagree. That is why we have so many gospel preaching denominations. There are Calvinist and Armenian denominations and many in between.

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Grace is a free gift from God. There is the Calvinist and Armenian version though.

Calvinist has God reaching into our totally depraved heart and touching it to allow us to turn to Jesus.

Armenians say that we have a free will to turn to Jesus and we do that to become Christians.

Biblical arguments on both sides backed up by scripture. Thus the Quinquarticular Controversy keeps on going!! (Calvinism vs Arminianism)

He is all ovet the mat.....He really should seek a new pastor that knows whet he is talking about.....just saying
I have suggested that he think about what he is about to submit before he actually clicks on "Post reply". Thus far, he has not taken me up on my suggestion (concerning that or any other issue he and I have discussed since he joined CC).

The HS reminds of of our short comings with G-d and that we need repentance. The Bible says...pray that The HS never leaves us because He will never return.
The message here is....we need the HS to assist us (Comforter) in battles with Satan to over come sinfulness.

j..,
Not in that setting.
Remember Christ sent the HS (as the Comforter)......He did not send G-d.
Just as Christ was not G-d in the setting in which He (Christ) sent The HS....He was the Christ.

Paul wrote about the law of sin living in him and the resulting struggle.

Romans 7 NIV
7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. 9 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. 11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. 12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.
13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

The problem with your argument is Arminianism has documents listing the verses supporting their viewpoint. The Apostles Creed was created in 312 with the earliest copy dated 390. The purpose of this Creed was 3 fold.
1. Define the beliefs a Christian must have.
2. Define anything contrary to it as heresy.
3. All of the diverse issues outside of it as agree to disagree.

There were many issues then as today where there are disagreements. Thus the many gospel preaching denominations.

This last includes the Calvinism vs Arminianism contraversy.
Discuss your belief but respect others Biblical point of view which is different than yours.
Agree to disagree!! There are denominations that adhere to Calvinism, others Armenianism, with others taking from both. Disagreements abound among true true Christians.

As iron sharpens iron, we should encourage each other and correct each other when we find error in the other's views. I don't take offense when a brother corrects me, the Bible says a wise man will love you for correcting him and a fool will hate you for it.

You falsley accuse my God of casting wicked sinners into hell for nothing. That is a lie and it's actually blasphemy!!!!. God cast sinners into hell, "Sin" is not nothing as you claim it is. Sin is so disgusting that God will not tolerate it in heaven, He doesn't want to pollute heaven with "nothing". It's not nothing, it's filthy wicked sin and even I don't like it let alone how God feels about it.

There you go again … in your Post #2,532 you made a blanket statement:

“Please don’t quote anymore scriptures, they don’t apply to us in the 21st century.”

which completely contradicted your statement in your Post #2,522.

And when you are reminded to please think about what you submit before you click the "Post reply" link, you respond with your tired, old ad hominem tirade ... yawn
You need to learn which scriptures to throw away and which to put in your basket.
