Their new born again hearts were being regenerated all the days of their lives. This revealed the good news in Philippians 1:6

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6
The definition of regenerated is "MADE ALIVE". When you are first regenerated you are a babe in Christ and as the Holy Spirit within you starts to reveal some truths to you, you grow more and more in knowledge of the scriptures.

Unless you deny yourself (depending upon your much learning) the Holy Spirit will not reveal truths to you, lest you would take credit for your much learning, instead of giving God credit for revealing truths to you. Both of these are not backed up by scripture.
Only one of these are backed up by scripture.

I do not think that the apostles had an unregenerate heart, and that is who Jesus is talking to.
Just yor usual old evasion of truth. You do not have eyes to see nor ears to hear what scripture teaches.

Hmm, I'd say all those verses that talk about choosing good over evil and choosing this day whom you will serve. Sounds self explanatory to me. We have a choice to make.
pray the Lord grant us to make the right choice :)

Amen we can plant the incorruptible seed by which men are born again from above, and water it with the water of the word as the doctrines of God. But God alone causes the growth if there is any.

1 Corinthians 3:6-8 King James Version (KJV) I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

In that way he can create a new heart in a severely retarded person or Albert Einstein by the same spirit of faith( Christ's) , according as it is written. With it representing the incorruptible seed by which men are born again from above. The key that the gates of hell could never prevail against.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

You do not want to get deeper but want me to "chew" your ideas :) Interesting. Either we will go deeper or we will be just on the surface of bible verses, decide :)

Everything is predestined but we are not forced. Do you feel forced to write on this forum? I think you do not. We are not robots.
What we do is certain but not necessary.

Chew on that for a moment :)
if one chews for too long and forgets to swallow they ought to be careful they do not choke.
the only alternative is to eventually spit it out ;)

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'

God knows what will happen.
We do not.
For Him it is predestined.
For us it is free will.

Have you ever thrown a pot? Sometimes that clay will not behave.
yes, many.

i found that if the clay wouldn't behave, there is something you've done wrong. there was an impurity you didn't remove when you mixed it, you didn't mix it thoroughly, leaving a lump, you didn't knead it properly, or you are doing something improperly when you try to work it.

do you know what is done with the clay when that happens? it's put into a tank of water to soak, to be later reformed into a new lump.

:)

Therefore you have to edit out the portions of scripture that disagrees with your view of the Bible.
That is a false statement, show me a scripture that I have edited out. You might not agree with me, but I attempt to explain every scripture you throw at me. Do You?

if free will can be explained by "what's sensed through the five sense" as cause and "the response toward what we perceive" as effect

if free will can be explained by cause and effect, wouldn't it be true that free will doesn't really exist?

if you can choose your response, then it occurred as an effect from an unknown, non-free will cause

As the only ones who are made in the Lord's image and after his likeness, how can we not be able to choose our own way; unlike the rest of matter which exists without any choice.

You claimed the following:
If they do not harmonize, they are not the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

If not scripture what are you referring to.

Selfdissolving,

When you composed the title to this thread,
"Free Will is an Unbiblical Concept",
did you have the free will to do so?

Just curious.

I detest the unreasonable 5 minute rule. My tablet accessing the site makes that impossible!!

If not scripture what are you referring to. Many look at the differences in the Gospels and try to discredit them. They fail to understand that each gospel was seen by 4 different people writing about what they remember about the events they witnessed. Police have this issue with witnesses they interview. Each person comprehends what they saw and heard differently. They then create a composite result to work with. We do the same with the Gospels and find they don't contradict each other but complement each other

Our Father knows what His creation will do because He is the Creator. Just as a watch maker knows how a watch will function though the parts of the watch do not have minds as do men.

He does not oblige us to do what He knowsman will do without Him, no, He knows.

He informs us by His Word through HIs prophets all that will transpire up to the moment our Savior returns for us, and this is marvelous.

WE who believe Him say daily, "Your will be done," and we understand it will. When I say we, I include you and all the family in Christ.

My statement exactly. The scriptures must harmonize. I always respond using scripture.

The Bible states God knew the end from the begining. This is seen by eclipses crossing a country from one side to the other. This historically has been a condemnation and problems erupted with that country. The US was created a Christian nation. Several protestant denominations, the Catholic Church, and two Orthodox denominations exist in the US. Unfortunately the major protestant denominations have been taken over by secular ministers wanting access to the church funds. Only the sub denominations still preach the gospel message. With a little less than half of the people go to church and only a splinter of them hear the gospel message. Therefore only a small percentage of the population is really Christian.

The US had an eclipse go east to west across the country and in 2024 one will go diagonally from northeast to southwest making an X on the country. It goes through 7 cities named Salem.

Think about the awesome power and foreknowledge to set these eclipses in motion when Genesis 1:1 "In the begining God created the heavens and earth." occurred. God knew what this country would do at that time.

Just a note on unrevised history. The colonies of what is now New Englad were settled by persecuted folks from England and Holland primarily.

Later, when the colonials had amalgamated themselves to be able to rebel agains England, the founding fathers drew up the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, neither of which is founded as Christian rather allowing for freedom of religion for all that none suffer persecution. This freedom allows for all faiths, even some that most consider undesireable, along with those who believe nothing.

This is what made the United States great, allowing people to live and seek their faith without molestations from tyrants. To say the US is founded Christian is a declaration of the uneducated, or worse, of tyrants.

Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, has nothing to do with Herod. If you prefer,, render unto Caesar what is Caesar, and unto God what is God's.... When you understand the above you may call yourself a citizen of Heaven.
