While I'm no fan of Republican politics I think John McCain was one of the better Republicans.

Rom 13:7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

I guess the argument some may have is whether the citizens of the US owe the man any honor.

It's my understanding the man was a Christian by faith.

John McCain was a democrat in disguise, that didn't mind sending Americans to unnecessary wars.

Your disdain is noted. Who judges him and where he goes is up to God, not you. Finding it funny is sick.
Yes. How does God deal with the insane is the proper question in this instance.
If someone is kept in a pit five and a half years, then obviously they go mad.

God will judge and weigh all these matters. However it is of little consolation to the millions
Detrimentally affected by this man's deranged policies and fervent warmongering.

A sad shake of the head is more appropriate

what makes you think John McCain is insane? It seemo me he was a brilliant man who was a hero and was very strong. Most could not endure what he did. Waiting to hear your assessment and resources to prove as much. In fact, never mind.

Mccain had a lot of unpleasant rumours swirling about him, some of which have been alluded to. E.G. His crime syndicate connections. There is also a cloud over his military conduct. Did he wet start his fighter engine, causing the Forrestal fire and 134 deaths? Did he flee the scene? Was he a traiter in Hanoi? Why was he the only Senator to block the release of VietCong prisoner records? And so on.

Setting all the murkiness aside, he was an intemperate man, with serious psychological problems resulting from 5 and half years of detention as a POW. In politics he had irrational and extreme pathological hatreds, was extremely fond of war, and even proposed executing Vladimir Putin by shoving a sword up his backside. The idea of bombing innocent people was amusing to him.

Such a man, were he the true patriot he purports, with all his serious limitations, might have had a role in some lesser office, say, Mayor of a prestigious City, but he aspired much higher than that. Not content with foreign policy, he actually stood for the highest office, to be perhaps the most powerful man in the world. This alone, this complete lack of self awareness, indicates to me that he was not merely eccentric, but actually crackers.

Are you trying to degrade him and what he did? Saying that he was not a hero?
The man was definitely a war hero. He could have been released as a POW years earlier but refused because it felt it was not right to be freed while others were still held captive longer than he was. Not only was he a hero he was an honorable man.

People can't be fair? do justice? be right? honorable? trustworthy? do great things? be a hero?Unless they are Christians?
Had McCain been honorable he would not have SABOTAGED the repeal of Obamacare and then crowed about it.

That was purely out of personal spite and hatred for Trump. That was neither, just, nor right, nor trustworthy when he himself had taken a stand against Obamacare formerly.

Also he was instrumental in activating that PHONY DOSSIER on Trump which has led to a PHONY WITCH HUNT. How dishonorable do you think that was?

And to make his funeral a time for Trump-bashing was about as low as anyone could get. All the participants were guilty.

People do not like John McCain because he dislike the trump. as far as voting against the repeal of Obamacare, how do you all think Jesus would have voted? I am sure Jesus would have voted it down. I see that no one has any medical links (verifiable) stating John McCain was "insane" (not a medical term, but a legal one, by the way). He was fine. He was a good and honorable man. The trump is not.

We ought to know if he trusted Christ. If he is judged on his works he is lost. That is not judging but hearing Gods word.

1. This presumes only Christians can do good.
2. Only Christians are saved.
3. He happened to be a southern baptist, but I could care less if he were a Jew. If he was a good man; if he left the world a better place; if he helped even one person to have a better life ... He will go to Heaven. Good means: having repented of/having a moral compass.
Truth is not contained in just one doctrine in one aspect of one faith. it is found in many.

God sets people into leading position and trump is trying hard to build america up. U should be praising God for him rather than running over him.
Politically McCain was switching his opinions like people switch their socks.
Personally I dont think he was all of a bad person

Jesus said that even evil people could do good.

Only Christians are saved and only saved people are going to heaven. Unsaved people remain condemned no matter how much good they do in their lifetime.

Denominational affiliation is not a factor in salvation nor is ethnic origin. Only a correct biblical knowledge of Christ is the determining factor in salvation.

Your contentions are not supported by scripture.

I am concerned that McCain never speaks of God or gives God the glory in all the things that occurred in his life.

I have the right to dislike him and with good reason. No shoulds here.
If God put trump main office, he also put Obama in office, or for that matter: Hitler.
True, Jesus would not have voted, but the point was made and missed. Jesus would have been ALL for helping the poor including those who needed that insurance.

He was a quiet Christian. Had no need to impose his religious beliefs on others.

I believe God will not throw people into Hell for being born into a different religion and practicing the religion of their parents. Period. End of story. I see God as a loving God and way more "intelligent" (if I can evuse that word for such a Power), than we are. You do know that ALantiL the monotheistic religions (Islam, Catholicism and some of Protestantism believe this .
Jesus purpose was not solely to die for our sins (and that is a 16th Century theory)(, but to LIVE AND TEACH us how to treat one another. That is where it is at. People who follow the teachings ... whether they know Him or not ... are saved. Hell is a construct of the Church. Nowhere in the Bible is Hell mentionedh,. Death and grave are. (Hades, Sheol, Gehenna) ... all refer to death, not Hell. In the middle ages the notion of Hell became popular. Early Christians were not even aware of the concept. An all loving, JUST God would not punish people with Hell for being born into the "wrong" religioin.
