This is a biblical teaching on the flat earth theory.

Tell you what! When you have been around this forum as long as I have, or maybe longer than a day, then we will talk.
Oh, you've told me quite a bit about yourself already.
What makes you think being around for just one day reading how you talk to newbies would make me want to talk to you when I have longer time here.
First impressions and all that. Mature people leave a thread they don't respect as worthy of comment.
I know you can't help yourself and just to let you know, after this you shall not be speaking to me again.

This was taken off of you tube. It's called: Pastor Preaching Flat Earth Truth from the Bible.

PT Barnam once said:

You can fool some of the people all the time
You can fool all the people some of the time
But you can't fool all of the people all the time.

this guy fits the last category.

He's as credible in his interpretations I would think as those who argue in defense of a young earth theory. The earth being at most but 10,000 years old. And when confronted with millions of years old dated fossil evidence the YE defenders sometimes claim, that's the work of Satan. He put those fossils there in order to mislead the elect of God.

While a few people who hold to a young-earth creation may believe that Satan created fossils, that certainly is not a representative position. Such a belief is incompatible with both real-world evidence and sound scriptural exegesis.

I'm listening to this video again. At about 10 minutes in I thought I'd go get visuals to show what he's talking about in, "Operation Fishbowl".

Not promoting 7th DA here however, this is what Ellen G. White pictured of the bible description of the earth and firmament.

No argument here brother. Just sharing what I know from the YE's I've spoken with.

Not that I believe flat Earth but he has used scripture to present his case now it's time we do our job. Just saying:unsure:
I am not versed in the sciences. I would love to see a presentation where an astrophysicist debates this man and his theory.

I actually watched the whole video. Early on he asserts that you would have to believe in the big bang in order to believe in a round, revolving earth because that's the only way such an earth could be put into motion. That's a mere assertion of which he made no attempt to support. It makes God, the Creator, sound power-limited. The Bible verses he uses can be interpreted in other ways that he doesn't even address.

Has anyone ever traversed the continent of Antarctica from one shore, past the south pole, to the opposite shore (for example from the tip of South America to Australia)? I really don't know. But I'm guessing if anyone has, this preacher would simply brush it off as another "lie".
I have been to Au 17 times and from 42,000 feet it sure seems to me the curvature of the earth is notable......just saying....

Just a thought: With the flat earth model, where the north pole is in the center and Antarctica goes all around the perimeter of the disc; if you drove 10 miles east to west in Alaska, and then drove 10 miles east to west in New Zealand, your NZ 10 miles would be much longer (you do the geometry).
The government(s) can fool some people some of the time, but they can't fool Cousin Buba's odometer.

I get what you're saying, but your description of it could use some refinement. :)

Just wondering what a mouthy person like you would know about maturity? Not much, if your posts in the last few days are any indication. Oh, and please feel free to leave. No one is holding you back.

I will add this to my list of sermons to listen to. I got an open mind to this. It would be no surprise to me if indeed the scientific antiGod community would be lying to us. To make it sound like we are just specs of dust spinning in the middle of nowhere. In the flat earth model we are the center of it all. The center of creation.

But if you have ever been on a plane, you can see the planet curve. Still, I am willing to listen.

How come the site gets the blame for all this good stuff?
