Why would anyone even keep tabs on whether someone gives or not? That is between the believer and God.

Buying in bulk is not always the best "deal". Usually it is, but sometimes it's not. A single person or a couple might end up with spoiled food if they buy in bulk. We have to use the brains God gave us when it comes to stewardship.
Our pastor doesn't keep tabs but he makes it very clear that we must give generously and even sacrificially, because that's what God commands us to do. We know who serious God is about this command, he will cast those who didn't give generously into the lake of fire.

Remember how He dealt with that unprofitable servant in the parable of the talents, He cast him into the outer darkness where there was wailing and gnashing of teeth. God is testing each of us to see how much we give, if we don't give sacrificially He will say "I was hungry and you didn't feed me, I was naked and you didn't clothe me".

I don't need to elaborate because I'm sure you know how serious God is about giving, He will cast those who didn't give enough into he lake of fire. So giving sacrificially is a must for Christians, it's not optional

It sounds like you have been around hypocrites, you shouldn't throw out the baby with the bath water. Yes 90% of "Christians" are hypocrites, they are actually the reprobate posing as Christians. Their fate is sealed so we should pity them, but God still holds you accountable to support His Church.

You will stand before God one of these days and He will ask you how much money you contributed to Him. If you say, "well there were a lot of money hungry pastors around so I hid my money" He will say, you wicked and unfruitful servant. Go into the outer darkness where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

S...,

You make a good point.

If the church is not approval...send it to ..American cancer.... or many other orgs. that should be worthy.

It is G-d's money.

Brother we have set up an entire Ministry fund to support ministries, missionaries, orphans, widows, etc... as well as help for brothers and sisters who struggle financially.

It is why we are in buisness.

We tithe to our Church and give to special projects as well.

We do it quietly, and in the fear of the Lord.

It is because we have been around so many hypocrites that we have chosen this life style that the Holy Spirit led us into many years ago.

wow , im not sure where to begin with this to be honest , let me just say that no BELIEVER will be cast into the lake of fire depending on how much money they gave to their church !!

UNBELIEVERS will be cast there , because they didnt BELIEVE the Gospel , and refused to trust Christ alone for salvation !!

People will not go to Hell , based on what they Do or dont do after salvation , thats your most serious error

Of course, so you can sin all you want but you better give sacrificially.

Your sure?

  • eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

God who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, Romans 2:6-8

again

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

for I was hungry and you gave Me food;
I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;
I was a stranger and you took Me in;
I was naked and you clothed Me;
I was sick and you visited Me;
I was in prison and you came to Me.’
Matthew 25:34-36

It seems the Holy Spirit disagrees with you.

Those who will come to Jesus and say, Lord, Lord and mention all of those things they did in His name are people who believed they were Christians. They lived their life thinking they were true believers, but they will be exposed as hypocrites on that day.

So we are not talking about those who never attended Church and never made a profession of faith, we are talking about those who appeared to be devout Christians and done a lot for their Church. It's a warning tot hose who profess to be Christians but never gave God 100% commitment.

Well, we all know that we can never stop sinning in this life because it's out of our control. But we can control our giving, we will have no excuse when we stand before God.

No matter I am sure that you are having great fun in this virtual world, but I am not buying it anymore, fun while it lasted though in a sad kind of way.

You seem to have a lot difficulty reading plain English and understanding simple comments. When did I ever say we can sin as much as we want???? I never said such a stupid thing.

I said true believers can never lose their salvation no matter how much they sin or what sins they commit. Jesus has paid for every single sin believers have ever committed in the past, present and all future sins. You try to twist it to say believers surrender to sin and sin as much as they want, NO! a believer falls into temptation. He doesn't plan to sin nor does he give himself over to sin.

We still live in our corrupt bodies of sin, so we will continue to sin every day until we die. That's what the Bible teaches us!

Numbers 18:19-24 Whatever is set aside from the holy offerings the Israelites present to the Lord I give to you and your sons and daughters as your regular share. IT IS AN COVENANT of salt before the Lord for both you and your offspring.” The Lord said to Aaron, “You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any share among them; I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites. “I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the Tent of Meeting. From now on the Israelites must not go near the Tent of Meeting, or they will bear the consequences of their sin and will die. It is the Levites who are to do the work at the Tent of Meeting and bear the responsibility for offenses against it. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. They will receive no inheritance among the Israelites. Instead, I give to the Levites as their inheritance the tithes that the Israelites present as an offering to the Lord. That is why I said concerning them: ‘They will have no inheritance among the Israelites.’”

ALMOST ALL IF NOT ALL OF THE PROTESTANTS AND OTHER CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS AROUND THE WORLD ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO TEACH OSAS AND THAT FAITH ALONE SAVES VOID OF ANY SORT OF WORKS, COLLECT AND TEACH THEIR MEMBERS TO GIVE TITHES ALTHOUGH IT IS CLEAR FROM THE VERSES ABOVE THE TRUTH ABOUT IT.

IF THE ISRAELITES WHO WERE GIVEN AN EVERLASTING COVENANT WILL REPENT AND BELIEVE IN JESUS, THEY WILL BE JUSTIFIED FOR SURE. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY BREAK AN EVERLASTING COVENANT WITH GOD? WOULD THEY BE SAVED?
WHAT IF THEY UPHOLD IT, WOULD YOU CALL THEM WORKERS FOR SALVATION AND ALIENATED FROM JESUS?

ARE GENTILE CHRISTIANS REQUIRED TO GIVE TITHES OTHERWISE BE ROBBING GOD ACCDG TO THEIR PASTORS WHO TEACHES THEM THAT IT IS BY FAITH ALONE VOID OF ANY RIGHTEOUS WORKS THAT A MAN SHALL BE SAVED?

ACCORDING TO "OSASERS" AND "ALONERS", SALVATION IS THROUGH FAITH ALONE VOID OF ANY SORT OF RIGHTEOUS WORKS.

THEY CONDEMN AND INSULT THOSE BELIEVERS WHO PROMOTE OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S WORDS AND COMMANDS YET CLEARLY TOLERATE EVERY VIOLATION OF GOD'S COMMANDS FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONAL GAINS..

Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

1 Timothy 6:3-10,17-19 Love of Money If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Romans 2:1-4 God’s Righteous Judgment You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance?

Romans 3:3-4 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”

6 Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other. 7 For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

it doesn't matter how much we sin
Well a little different, it still has that connotation when I read it that we did not need to concern ourselves with how much we sin which in one sense sense is true from the point of all sins have been accounted for however,
I just think when you write stuff like that people will automatically say that those who believe in eternal security are promoting license to sin although perhaps that was not your intention, which I am glad that that is not what you meant. :)

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Are you serious? I hope your leaders are leading the charge by being as giving as they require you to be.
Sounds legalistic to me......God loves a cheerful giver and let every man give according as his heart desires...NOT BE FORCED BY RELIGIOUS TASK MASTERS.....

Thank God for the truth that sets me free from such rigmarole.....
