My name's Tiggy and I would like some email-pals!


But anyway....

I come from a very conservative christian family, and we believe that modern music and media are the works of the devil. We don't have a TV, but when we did, when you turned it on, all you saw was images of practically naked women! And on the radio, men rapping about... well I don't even wand to say it! I don't understand how people can watch things like that. I mean, it is only proper to see a woman like that when it's your wife, on your wedding night! Is there anyone here who feels that same way?

um, well i'll be honest. I don't know what channels you were watching, but I cant think of anything i watch that has women wearing anything less than say a bathing suit on occasion. And radio stations are fairly terrible. And rap is quite possibly the worst possible music i will agree with you on that. But its not that the media or music is evil. Some people may use it for unsavory things but that doesnt make the institution as a whole evil. Some good examples: Football and most other sports are just that, sports. You won't catch many practically naked women there. Even the cheerleaders seem to be fairly covered up. And most news shows are pretty decent too. As far as modern music goes, while modern secular pop and rap music might be some of the worst and most over-sexualized music out there. There are equal number of groups with positive and/or christian messages to a point that you can find something for almost any genre.
Christian Pop- Tobymac? newsboy? (not too sure here)
Christian Rap- Lecrae, Sho Baraka, Tedashii
Christian Rock- For Today, blessthefall, The Devil Wears Prada

So there is good modern stuff out there, it just takes a little looking

It may seem like an endless void of nothing but with a little digging you can find plenty of stuff. And sure we can be friends.

Well i know its something called the "world" and it is nothing exciting or fun but boring and lame but GOD is the most awsomest thing since....since.......before creation how about that!!!

Yes we are all brainwashed by the illuminati. because clearly every TV show is used by them to warp our fragile little minds...what a joke.
 
I agree that the music and TV buisness is being influenced by the devil but I wouldnt go as far as to say it is the work of the devil.
 
I Wouldn't completely disagree with you really, i'm quite sure stuff like Jersey Shore and all that kind of programs are work of the devil.
But ofcourse there are many more programs which are not bad too watch, same goes for music.

Thats true for some television what about shows like sesame street, and othe educational shows? Are they the work of the devil too?

I do have to agree with the tv thing. I mean sure girls arent naked all the time but there are still shows that glorify having sex whenever you want or being gay. TV has gotten more and more expliced.
 
I have to disagree about rap its what kind of rap i listen to christian rap MIZZ REALITY goes to my church and she is a female rapper check her out on the internet
 
Well yeah all this stuff depends on what you are listening to or looking at.
Lecrae is the same way, and you can find shows that arent bad.
