The tetragrammaton YHVH is pronounced Yehovah, “yeh-ho-vah”, and the name of Christ is pronounced Yeshua, “yeh-shoo-ah”, where the name of Yeshua includes the name of Yehovah in his own name in the YE part of the name, in shortened form from the longer version of the name Yehoshua, which is a contraction of two words, Yehovah and yasha, which means, “Yehovah delivers”. Exodus 3:15, Exodus 17:9, 1 Chronicles 24:11.

If you are aware that the title, Yahweh, comes fromthe ver hayah, then you know it is pronoucaable because it is the equivalent to a gerund or tehe noun form of the verb.

If one is not aware of this, it will remain a mystery.

The main point in the name given Moses is that God is saying in that name or title, that He is What He is. He has demonstrated this in being ONE YET MANIFESTING himself as Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit..... The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are the same, that is to say, One.

Isaiah witnesses to this in chapter nine verse six.

Yahweh witnesses to this so many times in the Old and the Ne Testaments when He says He is our Husband, He is our King, He is our Redeemer, and so much more. Gee Yahweh sounds just like Jesus, I know why.........do you?

Superstitious nonsense. How many names for God are listed in the bible?

By the Spirit of adoption I am able to address God as Abba Father.

Time to set yourself free from the spirit of bondage.

It would seem anyone pretending to say he knows the "name" of god and not simply one of His many true titles is self-deceived.

No one knows God's name in this age. Come the kingdom He is going to return a pure tongue to all so we may call upon Him with one name, that name He furnishes when it is His time.

That prophecy is in Zephaniah. Why do you strain yourself to insult others who believe God?

Being religious is not equal with being Spiritual. The Pharisees labored under the same deception. False religious piety nausates God who is righteous and holy.

What part of Romans 8:15-16 do you find to be untrue?

You are not going to drag me into any of your contrived contentions. You labeled believers a superstitious simply because they recognize God's titles. You probably cannot tell the etymology of the word god, let alone the true titles from the Word. Please cease and desist.
If you cannot be religious or spiritual at least attempt to be civil.......

Father is not a name, it is a title. God has actual names, which are set-apart, where calling his name "superstitious nonsense" is taking his name in vain.

Zep 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

We shall all call upon His name "with one consent." This is not occurring in this age, but in our Father's time..............

Psa 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
Psa 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Hello JaumeJ, some people like to make a religion out of some obscure pronunciation of God's name. Instead, we should do as God does and name Him in descriptive terms. The first reference to Yhvh is in Exodus 6:3.

JEHOVAH = H3068
יְהֹוָה
yehôvâh
yeh-ho-vaw'
From H1961; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: - Jehovah, the Lord. Compare H3050, H3069.

Many people rightly render this Eternal or Self Existent. Which is how God describes Himself.

The Pharisees did the same thing. To hide their hypocrisy they made Gods name unpronounceable to human tongues. If only they had the same reverence in their hearts for God then they would not have rebelled and gone after other gods who are not God.

Sincere worship from the heart does not make a pretense of Gods name.

It is to those whom He as adopted and calls His children. Did you not address your earthly father as father?

God has examined my heart and knows I have not taken His name in vain nor do I seek a veil to hide myself behind and create separation between myself and God. Christ died to tear down the veil of separation not create another.

Just what is it that you actually believe? Religious and Spiritual are not synonymous.

We speak to the Father through the name of Yeshua. If you think the name of Yeshua is just some "superstitious nonsense", then not only have you broken the command of taking his actual name in vain, but you have the discarded the only name through which you can reach the Father.

The New Testament and the first Church writings never put any emphasis on the way the name of Jesus is written or pronounced.

The name of Jesus was always understood to be of authority of the person, i.e. of God's Son, of the Lord, of the Savior. Never about its technical rendering.

The veil is rent in twain. Believers who are Christians have direct access into the Fathers presence.

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I do not come to the Father in my righteousness but in the righteousness that is mine through Christ imputed by grace.

What a stupid remark, do you really think you have direct access to the Father without Christ? Yet he is in the presence of the Father in heaven mediating for us, and even died so that you can one day call God "Father"? What audacity for you to think that you, a sinner who deserves to die according to the Torah of God, like all of us on earth, have any access whatsoever to the Father without Christ. You have no understanding of God, which is why you treat his set-apart name as if it were something ordinary, calling it "superstitious nonsense".

But guess what? How many people have been saved under the name of Jesus? How many have been healed in the name of Jesus? How many prayers have been answered in the name of Jesus? The list goes on, understand that a name can be said a thousand ways in different tongues and yet point to the same person. It is the person to whom we are referring that takes preeminence. Jesus is Lord.
