Where does the Bible say that that's why? No where.
Also when God told Israel to possess Canaan, the Canaanites' physical sizes had nothing to do with the reason.
Genesis 6:11-13, 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

The Word is very clear that the Lord created the Earth, then created the animals, then created man, and i'm pretty sure there no other inhabitants of the Earth before hand.

That is not how Jeremiah claims it!!

And Jeremiah obviously was a great prophet of Yahweh!!
I hate to shoot you down as I believe in the "old earth" gap theory also. But your claim that Jeremiah 4 was speaking of a pre-Adamic world is way off. This chapter in Jeremiah is prophetic about destruction coming from the North against Israel and Judah. The darkened world, etc. is a reference to the day of the Lord in Matt. 24 and elsewhere.

Now as far as angels mating with humans, pure nonsense. Angels are spirits, they have no bodies to mate with humans:

Heb. 1:14 "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"

Besides that, they only do what God allows them to do. Fallen angel or not. Job chapter one tells us that.

I am having some trouble understanding this theory.

Are you saying that Adam was not the first created man, but Adam and Eve were the ones who ate from the Tree and therefore caused the fall and other people were also in existence at that time?

Are you espousing the gap theory? I am confused:unsure:

This does resemble something I read in the mystery schools stuff years ago.

Even with a first BEGINNING with humans that was completely wiped out of existence, Adam would still be the first man in the lineage of Christ, which ultimately leads to us as believers.

The reason the earth was such a void and deformed, is because unlike Noah's flood where the water receded and grass, trees, plants remained...this destruction of the first creation would have lasted tens of thousands of years until all life had died (and the partial evidences left, is what I believe leads science to believe evolution because the left over residue still indicates life did exist prior to Adam since plant matter is easily recognized. But science is confused about the humanity of the first creation, because of bone fragment left decaying from tens of thousands of years under water...this leads them to believing we come from apes due to the deformity and reshaping of skull fragments).

Science is discovering that were are all descendant from one female "Mitochondrial Eve" and male "Y chromosome Adam" so it would seem your theory has a problem if God created other humans before Adam and Eve?

Life before Adam and life after Adam is all connected since all of us share 99% DNA. It's less than 1% DNA that actually separates us. And if we break it down to bacteria, we all have same bacteria. It's why bodies found assumed to be 20,000 years old still have similar genetics, DNA, and bacteria. After all, everything is created by God who created us before/after Adam the same way (dust of the earth = bacteria)!!

How did he claim it, our understandind of the scripture is differant

He took us to where and how we can literally define what we read in Genesis 1:2 is how!!

23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

Okay so I reread this. Created in the lineage of Christ? Nope. :(

This really is Mystery School teachings, is Lilith there somewhere too?

No, I said Christ is in the lineage of Adam. And as believers, we are in the lineage of Christ!!

Can you give the the chapters where they talk about people before Adam and Eve please?

23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

verses 24 and 25 are specific no more humans or no more cities!!

WHY?

God destroyed them!!

2 Peter 3 King James Version (KJV)

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep (died), all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant (and do their BEST to KEEP one IGNORANT) of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old (A PRIOR heaven), and the earth (a PRIOR earth) standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the the world that THEN WAS, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now(CURRENTLY), by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (Though Heaven and earth [AGE/S], may pass away, GOD"S WORD, shall NEVER pass away)

Peter "knew", or was shown this!

AMEN!!

Of course Peter knew this, the Holy Spirit revealed it unto him!!

Numbers 13:33 33We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.
The giants were really tall compared to regular people.
And the animals were also huge. this is why he had to destroy the world. The bible said and there were some after the flood.
They probably were all killed because we don't see any walking around today.
Here are your nephilim.
Gen 6:4 There wereH1961 giantsH5303 in the earthH776 in thoseH1992 days;H3117 and alsoH1571 afterH310 that,H3651 whenH834 the sonsH1121 of GodH430 came inH935 untoH413 the daughtersH1323 of men,H120 and they bareH3205 children to them, the sameH1992 became mighty menH1368 whichH834 were of old,H4480 H5769 menH376 of renown.H8034

Giants = H5303
נְפִל נְפִיל
nephı̂yl nephil
nef-eel', nef-eel'
From H5307; properly, a feller, that is, a bully or tyrant: - giant.

Now take you fairy tales about angels mating with humans and go home. :)

You do know this current earth will be replaced?
So, why would God burn it and then restore it when New Jerusalem will literally come from heaven?

Of course Jeremiah is speaking before Adam, it would be foolish to quote Genesis 1:2 and call it the future!!

No, I know no such thing. The earth will continue with a remnant, of each nation, left over after the global war at Christ's return. Then the Lord will spend the next millennium rebuilding the new earth. I see you used some literature from the "Plain Truth" series. Well then this is all in there also so keep studying.

Even your Jeremiah 4 tells us God will not utterly destroy all life: Jer. 4:27 "For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end."

Jeremiah wasn't quoting Gen. 1:2 in verse 23, he was quoting Matt. 24, Mark 13, Luke 21. It just happens to read the same.

Actually neither of those beliefs is absurd. Angels are spirit beings who can also take human form and speak human languages.
Angel means messenger, human or spiritual. Context my friend.

and yet not one person came forward with this idea until hundreds of years after Jesus.
if the passage is speaking of humans, please name a few of them.
It is impossible to know all the ideas people had in the past. Context and word meaning are the clues.

People? Debatable... But the fallen angels were also here. They bred with sons of man and created the nephilim (half human half angel).

When you really get into it you start thinking about Giants as well bc nephilim were Giants a lot. Then if you look at art like ancient Egypt with Giants. Every ancient civilization has a story about Giants (side note they all have a world flood too). It is interesting that people still can't figure out how they made certain pyramids in Mexico, Egypt, etc. It would be hilarious if they were made by Giants. But of course no one knows for sure.
Hey! blueluna5.... PTL!
2 Pet 2:4 "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment."
Jude 1:6 "And the angels that kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains of darkness unto the judgment of the great day."
I doubt that any of the angels which were cast down to hell, were able to meet any daughters of men down there, don't you think?
So, it could not have been the angels that were with the daughters of men, ever! In fact, Jesus tells us that in the resurrection, we'll be like the angels of God and will not marry.
Maranatha!

Satan was an angel: Ezek:28: 13-16
.13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
.14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
.16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
And the angel who left their heavenly dwelling did mate with women:
Jude 1: 6-7
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Ezek. 28 is speaking of the King of Tyre. Context.
Jude is not saying angels mated with women, that is a conclusion you jumped to.

There are more scholars who view it as I can see it than those who obvious do not understand scripture and its meaning.

Thank You, but I will side with those who I believe actually understand scripture!!

Jeremiah recites Genesis 1:2 for a specific reason. And Christ's message in Matthew 24 was not about this current earth being destroyed and reused. Daniel and Revelation are clear about a new earth and the coming new Jerusalem.

And there will be no nuclear holocaust when Christ returns and we battle at Armageddon. It will definitely be a slaughter, but it won't cause the earth to become void and without form like Jeremiah speaks about. In fact, it states the birds will eat the flesh of the dead. That is rather clear the earth will be intact after Armageddon. In Jeremiah, there were no humans or CITIES left!!

Are you claiming the battle at Megiddo (Israel) will cause the United States and the America's to become without form? This is what Jeremiah is speaking about. It is obviously clear this is not a future prophecy by Jeremiah, but a clue why Genesis 1:1 in the Hebrew is clear the earth was finished and populated before verse 2 becoming void, without form, and desolute!!
