In Maine you had to have your car inspected every year and were at the mercy of the mechanic who could find any number of things wrong. You could not renew unless you go the repairs done and paid for. It is a tremendous rip-off. A lot of people drive with expired inspection tags until they get caught. Thank God Florida doesn't have that stupid law. Not sure what a village sticker is but I am surmising that it requires a fee so that you can park on the premises. In Florida your car tags are good for 2 years and you can renew in the mail and avoid a trip to your local DMV which is always a major hassle.

Yeah..i lived in 1 burb..got a sticker..moved to another burb 2 miles away..had to get another and we only have car exhausts emmision tests here every year..
