A couple of months ago, A nice old widow showed up at my office. She reported to have sent her lifes savings to a man that told her he loved her, over the internet.

I always held out hope that God would bring that special someone into my life. Finally in 2006 I realize that it might not happen. I was depress for awhile than begin to accept the fact. I was fine for a few years Than in 2012 I met a woman who really trip my trigger. She was a Physician Assistant who was helping me with one of my medical problems. Since we could not date because the AMA does not allow it. In 2014 I look for ways I could ways to change that but failed! In 2015 she left and I never saw her again. However the wanting of a female companion was back on. I tried some dating sites but had no luck. Mostly this scammers. (I talk about this a few years back on this site).

Since than I tried a Pen Pal site this so I could have one as an email friend. Haven't had much luck there either. One young lady I talk to early on was from Ukraine. We sent a few messages back and forth. Than for about a month I didn't hear anything. Well she ended up going to a Ukraine Dating Site and had them set up the beginnings of a profile for me. (All they had was my gmail address. Which I only use for people I meet online. They don't even have my first name!) Since than I have gotten emails from several other ladies. Now I had never serious consider this before but now starting to think about it. I check the site out. It seems liege.

My question is has anyone tried finding a wife abroad?
My younger brother did, a woman from the Philippines. He went to see her a few months later. They ended up getting married the same year. Been happily married for 20 years with a son who is now attending college.

You see them on Dr Phil all the time. Usually dragged there by family members in order to get them convinced that they are getting taken to the cleaners by a scammer.

Love cost a lot, but it shouldn't cost a nickel.

If I'm not mistaken, guests on the show are paid for their appearance including travel expenses.

I actually know someone who was on the show. They did pay for her trip to the set, but she claims there was no other compensation. She really made a fool of herself on the show. The show did pay a local camera crew to film some footage at her home here in Virginia, before her appearance on the show. It was all actually filmed, including on the set, several months before it aired.

He's fully qualified and has more connections and capacity to help than most. Why not listen to him?

So, just because one has credibility doesn’t mean they’re always right - he just irritates me sometimes.

There's a big difference between what I said and saying "hes always right". Not sure where that came from.
Most people don't realize he's qualified for what he does. When you dismissed him initially I simply gave you information to consider. Again, that's a far cry from "he's always right".

People know he’s qualified otherwise he wouldn’t call himself “Dr” lol.

I just don’t like the way he handles things or the way he talks. Sometimes. This is my opinion.

Actually many assume he isn't. I've heard countless comments over the years with people saying he's not qualified and not a real doctor/psychiatrist.

They are right (and wrong) all at the same time. Dr. Phil McGraw has a doctorate in clinical psychology which entitles him to the title "Doctor", however he allowed his board certification to lapse in 2006.

True. But he only let it lapse to allow him to practise on TV. But either way he is still qualified, just no longer licensed by choice.
