What's the difference between sexual thoughts and normal sexual attraction (between a man and a woman)?
There is no difference as far as i can tell... Other people are people.. They are not sex objects.. So we should deal with them as people not as objects of lust..

But we being humans in our current state of imperfection will look at people and have these thoughts.. But if we believe Jesus and trust in the atonement Jesus has provided to pay the penalty of all our sins then all will be well for us in eternity..

Once our ancestors obtained the knowledge of Good and Evil we where all doomed to sin and we all do sin.. So it is pointless for us to try and resist the revealed will of God and try to make our sins no longer sins simply to make us feel better about ourselves.. The best policy when it comes to Gods will is to accept it all without resistance and have absolute confidence in the Atonement that God has provided for our transgressions.. Those of the past.. those of today and those of the future till the day we die..

As i said before salvation is so easy for people who just accept the Word of God with Zero resistance.. Salvation is a true free gift as easy as drinking water.. Easier in fact..

The thought arising is an issue that needs given to GOD. But the idea appearing in our heads is not the sin. It is when we entertain it and do not put into subjection with a get behind me Satan; thus saith the LORD it is sin.

To them that know to do good and do it not; to them it is sin.
Once a person has thought the thought they have already sinned.
No; once we entertain the thought we have sinned.

For example. Noticing (the thought) that we are sexually attracted to a woman is not an issue but needs to be given to GOD with a, "thus saith the LORD, thou shall not lust". But as soon as we allow our eyes to look on her and feed the attraction and and start having lustful thoughts of our own creation then we allowed sin to fester it's ugly head.

We also have examples in our lives where sinful thoughts pop into our minds which are not of our creation but pop in due to the circumstances to which we are exposed. The thought being there needs to be given to GOD but is not a sin unless we do not give it to HIM and allow ourselves to be cleansed of all unrighteousness.

Why do people seek to justify themselves?
Sin..... but tell me why do people make accusations when there is only one JUDGE.
Why not just acknowledge ones sins and have them all atoned for by the Blood of the LORD Jesus Christ?
There is victory in Jesus. The atonement is for naught unless we are participating in the victory that is in Jesus.

Surender to the Word and all will be well..
GOD's will is for us to repent and live in righteousness through Christ in us.

I believe Jesus’ point is that there is no difference.
If there is no difference between lust and "normal sexual attraction", then it is wrong to find someone attractive at all, which means that one cannot marry another to whom they are attracted without already having committed adultery in their hearts.

Is that really what you mean?

Well it looks like we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one..

I'm attracted to the idea of the most transcendent ultimate good
and I believe this attraction that I just described is not sin

Therefore, it's possible that attraction is not sin

So... If I want sex sex with a 6 mo. old like (in my mind) some pedophils do it is ok and then I penetrate them with my dick in their virginia (a girl or butt a boy) they rape them it is "all good" because I am forgiven? And I can do that?
um, N O!
because, let's say you sleep-walk, that would risk breaking federal law
and the human mind can confuse dream with reality

so, obey God, it's for your protection, the protection of others,

and let's not go there,

(I know that you are trying to give an extreme example to prove a point, and do know that I believe mcubed is innocent)

or, trust that God can cleanse our mind of sin, and believe that it's repentable

No it is not good...

I never said sinning was good..

That's why we need the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ..

Those who believe in the standards of God that they are good will seek to follow his standards and avoid sinning..

My position on sin is in alignment with the Bible.. I do not see the atonement of my LORD Jesus Christ as a license to sin..

I greatly value the atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ because it grants me forgiveness for my sins..
Do know that there are such temptation to abuse license to sin

There are some women I am attracted to at church. They are married and so am I. Feeling the unconscious attraction is not a sin. Dwelling on it and indulging in it and fantasizing about it is. Instead, every time I feel attraction for them I pray for them and their husbands and family.

How you handle the natural attraction is the marker of sin. Are you engaging in fantasy for your own indulgence, or are you demonstrating compassion for them and their families in your heart by praying for them?

Yes, that is our human condition & why we need a savior.

It is NOT SIN to have attraction to the same sex....
It is NOT SIN to have attraction to the opposite sex...

It is IS SIN to have SAME SEX "RELATIONS", PREMARITAL SEX, and COMMIT ADULTERY!!!!

In my opinion... And we are to bring every thought captive under the Word of G-d and crucify our flesh....

What is your opinion is the attraction wrong or what we do with it?
The Bible teaches us what to do with every temptation, including same sex attraction (temptation). We are to crucify the flesh, kill it and show it no mercy. Our Church Elders teach us to be brutal towards temptation to sin, we are taught to kill it before it takes root.

I've never heard it preached that temptation of itself is sin, it becomes sin when a person surrenders to the temptation and gives them self to it so it can have it's way. We are taught to starve the old man out, don't feed him and he will eventually starve and not bother you as much when he is weak.

We wont conquer this body of corruption and death until we die and receive our perfect, glorified, sinless, eternal bodies.

We had a homosexual couple visit our Church for many weeks before they asked for membership, it was denied on the grounds that they were practicing homosexuals.

Our pastor said, the only way we could receive them is if they ceased practicing homosexuality, repent and become salves of Christ. As slaves they would lose their free will and only do the things that Christ approves of. They rejected the terms for membership and we never saw them again.

I submit that your position is fundamentally self-defeating. While we are in need of a saviour, I don't think that a normal God-ordained part of life is inherently sinful.

let's put it this way, if attraction is sinful
then John 6:44 - Jesus draws us to him

therefore, attraction is NOT sin

Jesus was also tempted in the wilderness, being tempted is NOT sin

I think we need to properly define what sin is before we stamp the "sin" label abusively on things that's not sin

I suggest reading Matthew 5.
Jesus lists many things we normally would not think of as being sins. Things we probably do to some extent every single day.

If you are a man and is attracted to men, then you have a woman spirit in your soul.
If you are a woman and are attracted to women, then you have a man spirit in your soul.
You could have sinned and opened a doorway for the spirit to come in or the spirit could have came in at birth from sins or curses from your ancestors.

Scripture knows nothing of a "man spirit" or a "woman spirit". There are mental illnesses, emotional disturbances, and demons. There is also the corrupt sin nature which manifests itself in all manner of sins.
