Where are all the demons?

We can see many demons in the New Testament. Sometimes even many of them in one human. Wherever Jesus or his discplices went, demons upon demons.

In our life (Europe) - none. Nobody ever heard of any. Their existence went to fairy tale category. Yes, some people claim it, but you know, some people even claim to be abducted by people from another galaxy. The fact is that demons are not visible in our daily, common life like they were before.

I can think about these plausible solutions:
a) they are gone
- the work of Christ, the spread of Christianity, monotheism pushed them out of Christian and post-Christian world

b) they went into hide
- they do not want to be indentified and thrown out by Christians, so they try to "behave" or mask themeselves as mental illness

c) they need some special conditions to exist in
- pagan rituals, spiritism, something that may exist rather in other parts of the world than in Europe
- maybe they even need a faith in them to have any power?

d) they are dying in time
- well, this one is weird, because they are spirits, but still its a possibility that they somehow decompose without a body

e) they are still the same and active as before, but humanity got too high in numbers
- if there is like lets say million of demons, they are very visible when there is 100 million population of people in the world, but can be quite unnoticable when there is 8 billion of people

Any better ideas?

F - we don't always recognize when we see them. A friend I once knew and I used to have discussions trying to see if there is a distinction between some criminal mental issues and possession.

The demons were seen then because the light was so strong. The light is weak now, so they are able to hide and look normal.

If they are just spirits, are they bound to this planet or not? Can they move/run to another one?

Also, they can live in some animals, maybe in carnivors their existence would be hardly noticable.

They reside in Hades with satan, but are able and do rather often run amok on earth. If the veil were pulled back just a bit, we'd see some scary entities all around us..

If Godly angels are helping the children of God (miracles and things that cannot be explained), surely the fallen angels we now call demons are out and about.

Ever live or been to home that feels strange in that something is wrong? That is not some persons spirit trapped haunting a particular place. That is a possession. Demons might not be present when you first arrive, but things begin happening over time indicating the evil spirits have returned. I call it a footprint, like we leave a carbon footprint.

Example:
When you visit Israel and the places Christ walked and spent time at, there is a peaceful presence still to this very day (Godly footprint). Demons and evil entities leave the same sort of footprint in haunted homes, or places that feel like the darkness is reaching out and touching you.

Obviously, Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. But we definitely can tell when he who is in the world has been somewhere!!

This is just the presence awareness I am speaking about. The physical entities are around us but we have a hedge protecting us (like Job had before God took it away).

But one thing is for certain, as time goes on and the closer we get to Christ's return, we will know the presence of evil. And make no mistake, our Adversary and his demons know they have little time left. They know the scripture better than most so-called believers. And they will be attacking to get believers to fall.

One example:
This homosexual agenda within the church.
That is as demonic as it gets and it has full blown infiltrated the church setting.

As an old saying goes that I believe in, the crapola is about to hit the fan!!

Satan is not in Hades at this time (nor are the rest of the evil angels which have freedom to roam around the earth and heavenlies, 2Chron 18v18-22, Job chapters 1 & 2, Eph 2v2, 6v12,16, Rev 12v10), he is not put there until immediately after Christ's 2nd Coming, where he is imprisoned for 1000 years at the end of which he is released for a short time to sift the Millennium population, after which he is put in the lake of fire, where the rest of the evil angels have been put at Christ's 2nd Coming. Matt 25v41, Rev 20v1-3,7-10.

Hades is the Lord's temporary prison for the wicked and ignorant dead and evil spirits. Luke 8v28, 16v16v22,23, 1Peter 3v18-20, 2Peter 2v4, Jude v12,13.

It is the Lord Jesus Who has the keys of Hades. 1v17,18.

Demons are lying spirits used to make the gospel without effect. When they lie and mankind believes it God sends a strong delusion that they would continue to believe the lie. The truth of the gospel sets men free.

infinite delusion power

um, ... the power of delusion, is definitely not something we can celebrate

however, I can definitely agree that gospel can set people free
